dude, you've got some impressive kills..
I'm nowhere near that..but then again I only have about 2 hours under my belt. I am on vacation the next two weeks...so i'll see if i can beef up my stats.

I'm pretty good with the assault rifles, and if I'm in a tank - I'm the man.

BTW - at 1000 points you receive the rank of Lance Corporal and are allowed to unlock one of the weapons. Choose wisely as the next unlock is at 10,000 points. From what I've heard, the best unlocks are the assault rifle, spec ops or medic. The unlocked assault rifle does 40% damage per round and is very accurate, that's what I took. The other kits are supposedly worthless unless you exclusively play as an engineer, sniper or support. I'll probably unlock the medic weapon at 10,000 - but I have a ways to go.

I'm medic all the way, so i'll unlock that...but 1000?? jeez..i thought it was 500...i have a ways to go..i used to always be anti-tank until i saw how quickly you can rack up points as a medic...and besides, the anti-tank primary weapon sucks...

I'm killer in a chopper though.

have you won any medals yet?? how about the purple heart, 5 kills and 20 deaths (or equivilent to that) will get ya one.

I was never a fan of CS. I hated that mod the second it came out. I'm probably not the best person to answer that. Obviously, CS is a mod for Half-Life which came out in 1998, so you have 7 years of advanced technology and programming in BF2's favor.

As for HL2, it's an apples & oranges comparison. One is a sci-fi game and the other is based on realism (I say based since it still very arcade-like and not a true military sim by any stretch of the imagination). I'd say that the graphics are slightly better in HL2 than BF2 but HL2 is more of a close combat frag 'em up kind of game where BF2 is more open - so they can do a little more with the graphics. The difference is negligible.

Did you ever play Battlefield 1942?
