Just finished FIGHT CLUB - the book

Post by Booma »

Not a bad read. Quite different from the movie.

I liked some things about the movie better than the book but overall I think the book was better.

Has anyone read "Haunted" The new Chuck Palaniuck book - or any other books of his for that matter?

I made about three attempts to read Choke but kept stopping about midway through the book. Not a knock or anything, I'm not a big reader. There were some hilarious scenarios from what I remember, but I kept losing interest as the plot really didn't go anywhere.

I read his new short story guts that literally made me want to puke. It's so disgusting people have passed out and thrown up at public readings.

I loved both Fight Club the book and the novel. I haven't read anymore of his stuff but my old roommate didn't care for Choke. You either love Chuck or hate him.

I wanted to start my own fight club a while back. I actually had some guys interested. We were going to fight in the garage at the funeral home. Never materialized....

i read the book before seeing the movie--and i think (and rarely can you say this--generally speaking) the movie was better.

insofar as it teased out a lot of the stuff in the book...and the schizo stuff plays out nice visually.

i do agree that the book and movie are more different than one might expect.
