Winning back the heart's and minds

Post by tough love »

:?:

Anyone up on, or interested in venturing a guess on what tricks, incentives, (bobbitts) the NHL will come up with to get hockey folk back on 'er side.

Or what they should/could do???

Me first:
For one; they need to get folks back to the arena so their pro_game magic can work on 'em, so how about the good old; buy one ticket, get a second at half price sale.
Should work okay in some markets, right?

For most of their Southern markets, they need to come up with a whole lot more.
Stuff like Go-Cart ice races before n after games, and in between periods.
American HeeHaa Idiol competions before n after games, and in between periods.
Monster trucks, lots of monster trucks.
You know, neat stuff like that, ought to do 'er up real good.

GO HOCKEY...Fuc the NHL
Am I wrong...God, I hope so.

In Canada they will do nothing but open the doors. It's the only marketing strategy they need. If fans were smart they would boycott for a year. I wrote 'if'.

What would a boycott at this point in time accomplish? We're not about to see huge rollbacks in ticket prices, especially in a place like Calgary where the salary cap is about in line with what they would've paid anyway.

A boycott would send a message that fans can't be taken for granted.

Okay, I'm sold, I'm boycotting.
Now what would it take to get me to be not boycotting.

hummmn, free tickets to a wpg hurricane game might do it.
