Where should the Leafs have their Stanley Cup parade?

Post by Hapday »

In the year 2036?

Man, it's going to be a loooooooooooooooooong year for the Leafs. At least we won't have to worry about their playoff schedule getting in the way of golf season.

I wouldn't be saying 'Leafs' and 'playoffs' in the same sentence. Unless you've included 'watching'.

The old geezers sold out 'Canada's team' for beaches, shuffleboard and white penny loafers. You seemed pretty sure these guys would be re-signed last week Hap.....what happened?

I've said it before and I'll say it again...............sucks to be you. Leaffan.

I think you meant they cleared the way to the tee box in late April.

You haven't pre-planned your funeral arrangements?

I figure cremation's the best way for Leafs fan to make sure we get a good view.

  I laughed.

I didn't think there would be teams willing to give a 40-year-old player, not named Belfour, a two-year deal. All this has done, thankfully, is given the Leafs a huge wake-up call that they can't give away draft picks for nothing.

In the long run the Leafs will be a better organization under this new CBA. The Leafs may actually, **gasp** develop talent through the draft.

I question some of the absolute garbage players JFJ has kept **cough** Antropov, Berg, Belak **cough**, but at least he hasn't gone out and blown the cap already. The fact he has shown patience is a good thing. Next year there will be some great UFA available and the cap may be even less, so there is no reason to max out this year.

Antropov may be gone to Russia.Don't worry Hap so we have to watch shit hockey for a year remember the 80s?But from what I understand they will have room next year.Where the Leafs fell apart was when there was no Grandfather clause in the CBA and they were counting on that..

At least Leaffan can probably name most of the players on their team's roster. I have no clue who the hell the guys on the Caps roster are. Hell until a few weeks ago I thought we still had Peter Bondra. :?
