Drinking Buds Till Death Do 'Em Part

WHAT'S LOVE got to do with it?

Bill Dalrymple, 56, and best friend Bryan Pinn, 65, have decided to take the plunge and try out the new same-sex marriage legislation with a twist -- they're straight men.

"I think it's a hoot," Pinn said.

The proposal came last Monday on the patio of a Toronto bar amid shock and laughter from their friends. But the two -- both of whom were previously married and both of whom are still looking for a good woman to love -- insist that after the humour subsided, a real issue lies at the heart of it all.

"There are significant tax implications that we don't think the government has thought through," Pinn said.

Dalrymple has been to see a lawyer already and there are no laws in marriage that define sexual preference.

mething foolish, let them do it," he said.

As for wedding plan, Pinn and Dalrymple haven't set a date.

RACK Bill Cthirtyeight, and Bryan Shamerinski

Even more hilarious is some of the reactions coming outta those who take this gay bill crap seriously.

Eg:
Otis in Ontario hissed, those two terrible terrible persons are making a unholy sham out of what is supposed to be a delicious sacred event.
Viper in Van cried, you mean I got my ass plundered for nothing.

Thank You, Mr. Martin
Am I wrong...God, I hope so.

Wrong tl... I'll RACK them for getting over on Revenue Canada..
Anytime you can find a tax loophole and exploit it for your own good, it doesn't matter if you're Ken Thompson or two past middle aged stiffs... you deserve your props for taking advantage of it.

If they can pull it off..
Which I doubt they will.

According to their lawyer, if they don't pull it off, it won't be because they couldn't of.

Still not getting:
The "significant" tax savings thang.

But if there is such a significant tax advantage, given that same sex sodomy is now as legal as marriage itself, would not the common law thingy accomplish the same advantage?
One year of shared living space should also qualify a same sex couple to declare common law status for tax purposes = Same benefits as being married, No?

Good one, Martin...
