Parker (old skoolers name) is in a cool, scenic setting. I've probably been to as many games there as anywhere else(I'm a Beav hater, but it seems like I get tix thrown at me every now and then). I'll check it out, hopefully this season. But, if you've never been to the old version -- I'll lay about 50/50 odds that your old high school stadium was nicer. Before the Civil War every other year, the Ducks players would threaten to not show up to play in a "high school stadium."

I'm not sure people outside of this region get (or care) about the whole Reser/Nike thing. A few years back, State was in big financial trouble, and were looking at having to drop out of the Pac10. Their building was falling down, and the turf almost had holes worn through it. Couple this with the athletic department being $12 million in the hole, and it wasn't going well.

Enter the Resers. Not sure how far across the country Resers Fine Foods get distributed( I think most of the West, anyway), but that's the Resers. (Sidenote -- attaching the name "fine foods" to that slop is criminal. The potato salad is edible, but avoid the sausages at all costs). Anyhoo, the Resers, Mr and Mrs, who are now about a zillion years old, apparently met at an OSU game. The Resers corporate logo is Beaver colors, oddly enough. But the local intrigue with the whole deal, is that Resers is pretty much directly across the street from Nike in Beaverton. Resers has been there much much longer. I grew up in the adjacent neighborhood, fwiw. With their neighbor basically buying the Ducks football program, the Resers went to one of the biggest "keeping up with the Jonses" moves in history, and ponied up $8 mil to keep the OSU program running, and hire a real coach. Hence, the renaming of Parker to Reser. Technically, I believe it's called Reser Field at Parker Stadium, but I could be wrong.

Cool vid. Although Meds used the phrase "Rack Oregon State," which I won't be forgiving anytime soon. Cool vid, though.
I got 99 problems but the 'vid ain't one
