American Psycho
I finally read the book by Brett Easton Ellis. Pretty good stuff. If they portrayed Bateman (Christian Bale) in the movie like he was in the book, then it probably would've been classified as a snuff film. However, Bale still did an excellent job of creating that character considering the limitations he had to work with. The extreme attention to detail never stopped, whether it was about fashion, fine dining and drinks, music, the murders, etc. At points, it was like reading a magazine pertaining to whatever luxury item he was describing (like the furniture in his apartment), and you get about a 7 page biography of Huey Lewis and the News, Genesis and Whitney Houston. All the 80s satire stuff was pretty funny. Anyway, this is an official issue.

i heard it's pretty good. i thought less than zero was pretty average after the thrill ride of rich, young people burning out in the 80's was over.

My former roommate brought a copy of the book with him for reading material
one day when he was called for jury duty.
He did not get selected.

I remember one time in college, my buddies' band was playing down at Ohio U (Athens) at some informal block party. While the band was taking a break, a couple drunk co-eds got up on stage and started yappin' stupid shit into the mic. I was sitting near the soundboard where there was an extra mic, so I turned that fucker up and interrupted the dumb bitches with: "You're a fucking ugly bitch... I wanna stab you to death... and play around with your blood." A bunch of dudes busted out laughing, but one of the girls started crying. A cop came back there looking for me but couldn't figure out which smartass had done it. It was some funny shit I tell ya.Cicero wrote:Def me and my college roomates fav movie. We used to have pre-parties at our place and just have it on in the background. The girls could never quite understand why we would be dying laughing while he chasing that bitch w/ a chainsaw in just his high tops.
