Quarterback controversy in Oakland??

Post by ChargerMike »

This 6'6" dude Walter looks to have some real tools. Very poised in the pocket, scrambled well, I think he may have jumped past Tooey tonight.

The Niners are the NFL's practice squad. They should change their name to the San Fancisco Bye Weeks.

Walter is a better fit than Tui in Norv's play-action, toss it deep style of offense.
Not sure he's a better player than Tui at this point, but a better fit, yeah, I do think so.

Tui was Gruden's boy to groom for the west coast offense.
He's never really had a chance to show that he can or can't get it done as an NFL qb.
I don't believe Norv thinks he'll get it done in his offense.

Oakland has a pretty poor track record when it comes to "grooming" young QBs.
Let's hope things turn out differently with Walter.

Nice to see Jordan romping around the ends and showing great hands and great stride. I haven’t seen a raider back move so fluidly since Allen.
The offensive line looked solid and Collins looked to be accurate even though his receivers had butter fingers.

Andrew Walter (nice arm) even demonstrated some mobility. He looked a lot better than I remember him at ASU…wonder why, hehe.

Jordan and the Raiders will move the ball at will this season.

I heard Artie Gigantino ( the King of the obvious football analogy ) say Walter reminded him of Marc Wilson .

Walter is an incredible talent who would've gone in the first round had surgery not been involved in his collegiate career. He read the field incredibly well and made some beautiful frozen rope throws for being a rookie fresh out of college.

Tui's number is up-he doesnt fit the scheme we run, and he will never be a good fit for it. Dude severely lacks height and his leadership skills are questionable at best. He wont be in a Raider uni next season-thats for sure.
