I bet if the Scissor Sisters sang you'd be all wet and shit.

<--- Still cannot dig that song. Evar. I even tried more than once.

My bad?
Yes, your bad. And where is that song you were going to send me that you told me about last night? And check your PM. :)

Opeth (New album- Ghost Reveries) See track #6 Hours of Wealth.

This album is nothing like Damnation. It has some most deece songs, and the arrangements are fucking amazing...but this album goes back to some growling. Not too much of a fan of that shit, but this band is just absolutely incredible. Moving up there with T00L on my "PrimeX pops boners to this music" scale.

It's coming back to me a little.

The Decemberists were pretty darn good. They actually came on first. Only beef I had is their music isn't entirely appropriate for the event, which is as upbeat as can be, and the Decemberists don't really fit the bill. But, they were deece, and weren't headlining, so all was good.

I think I've decided that I want to drop wood on Petra Hayden. She looks better in person than in pictures. She played with both the Decemberists and the Femmes. Bitch can done play that fiddle.

The Femmes tore it up pretty well. Did all of the song you'd expect them too. It was Portland, and they knew to have about an 8 million member horn section. It's how things are done here.

The only problem with the deal was that pretty much everyone in the entire region showed up for both bands. It was ENTIRELY too crowded. Crowded to the point where it put a crimp on people's ability to enjoy themselves. Waterfront Park is long and skinny, and every square inch of it was covered by a person. There's food and exhibit booths everywhere, and someone didn't lay them out very intelligently (the layout created crowding problems last year, so they went with the same setup this year). By the time the Femmes got going, there must have been somewhere around 40-50,000 people jammed up against the stage, and the area just wasn't right for it. I mean, you couldn't at any point walk around freely.* So, I didn't go up front until the very end, and chose to do the "beer circuit," which is of course standing in line for a beer, making a b-line for the porta-potty (didn't get any in there this time around) to make a beer deposit, then getting straight back in the beer line. There was a beer tent by the stage, so it worked out.

Went back Saturday night for the Emerging Artists Showcase, headlined by my favoritest, Dr Theopolis. They were very drunk at the time, but put on an excellent show, as always. My other option at the other end of the park was Little Richard, who I could hardly wait to miss. I was quite OK, with the slightly slower pace of the South Stage.

Good good times, even though A) I didn't score any pooonannny, hot or otherwise, and B) I'm still pooing funny.

Tried to get some pics with a lousy camera phone, but am still pending the results. I think the only one(s) that came out were from way off tp the side, of Colin Meloy. I'll put them up if they're any good.

Next weekend, I'll be at a party at a $2 million house. Catered affair, I'm sure. Apparently, the host has secured at least a couple members of the Crazy 8's to come play. Getting some other band of note as well, I believe. So, just because this last weekend has passed, that you don't still suck, and that I don't still rule.
