Altman arrived at Creighton after compiling a 68-54 record in four seasons (1990-94) at Kansas State University. During that time, Altman led the Wildcats to three straight postseason tourneys and was named the Big Eight Conference Coach of the Year after leading KSU to a 19-11 record and an appearance at the NCAA Tournament in 1993.
Altman’s final Kansas State club turned heads nationally with a 68-64 win at #1 Kansas on Jan. 17, 1994. The Wildcats have lost 30 consecutive games to their in-state rival since Altman’s conquest of the rival Jayhawks. That team eventually advanced to New York City while playing in the Final Four of the NIT.
KST was an armpit before he got there. the lon kreuger days were over in manhatten!

they had a pretty good recruiting class. Problem is we've had good recruiting classes before and they never panned out. I'm still not msold on Kruger. Hes a good coach but he's also one that doesnt stick around long enough.
Al Davis=Fidel Castro
they just built a brand new bball arena, and altman is a aksarben guy.e wrote:that's what i was thinking when they hired snyder. if he'll still take the job, i'd fire quin yesterday.Adelpiero wrote:Dana Altman would be a great hire
but the MU job is a damn good one, the cash and fans and support is there!
