Am I the only one that enjoys a good computer game?
I like strategy the best. Looking into getting Hearts of Iron II. It's only negative is supposed to be the learning "cliff".
Anyone played it?
Any gamers around?

the only online game ive ever been into was delta force. i have a friend that plays that stratego/sim city looking crap and i dont get it. when grand theft auto goes the way of every other fucking game, and i can whup elvismonster in the back of the head with a closed fist, ill be tickled pink. shit , did i just type that?
now that i have a computer that actually supports games more advanced than missle command, i may venture back. until then, i just download porn and talk to tomasmk. crap, i did it again.

Yes, I play games with friends every week or every two weeks for one or two nights. Usually its either just a game between a few of us or with certain games we go online and play on the same team against other players.
Generally play FPS or stratagy. This weekend we played Rome: Total War. I love the whole series but Rome improved immensley on the game. The graphics are awesome compared to the last two games (Medieval and Shogun). New weapons, animals and better game play have been also added.
I'm personally a big fan of Black Hawk down and Special OPs. Playing online against 100+ people is quite an experiance. As far as I can tell, these two games also have the best 'sniper' graphics available today.
Half life 2 is probably the best single player game I've seen. The graphics are absolutely amazing. Doom 3 on the other hand was a big letdown for me for the single player although the graphics were neat. After spending $50+ for it, I played it for about 3 afternoons.

I am all about Battlefield Vietnam. I play it online a few times a week... El Taco, I may have to try out Blackhawk Down..I used to be an insane sniper back when Delta Force was "state of the art". As far as RTS games go, I think Empires: Dawn of the Modern world is at the top of the list. Check it out.

Price on Black Hawk Down with the addon package (Team Sabre) only costs $29.99 right now I think at any of the usual stores (best buy, circuit city, target, etc..) Black Hawk Down itself is only $19.99 but it is missing some features (which is what Team Sabre adds). Special Ops puts you into a different enverinment and allows you more interaction with the field (drive any vehicle including helicopters, boats, vehicles). I went to a lan party with about 14 people and we had a great time going up against each other with 6 or 7 people on a team. Online it gets even better.
