I'm not dead, but IU basketball is

Post by Shine »

Figured for the three of you who cared (and yes I know I'm probably overestimating that number) I'd let you know I'm not dead, even though I haven't posted here since IU announced Davis wasn't getting fired. With football season about to get underway I figured I'd crawl outta my bunker and post again.

*WARNING*

I'll have a MAJOR rant forthcoming on the state of IU hoops.
"Our staff is going to ensure that anyone who attends this University and wears the Indiana uniform will make this privilege among their highest priorities and not treat the opportunity as an entitlement,'' Crean said in a statement. "We fully expect our student-athletes to accept the responsibilities academically, athletically and socially that come with representing one of the top programs in college basketball history."

Davis is a good recruiter and if someone else came in on his tenure, they will all jump ship.

Care to tell me why you think this statement is true before I show in explicit detail how wrong it is.

LOL...........Good to see a rare Shine post. His bitternes for IU hoops rivals mine for my own school's (SMU) athletic program.

Also eagerly awaiting forthcoming rant....

I just made flight reservations a couple nights ago, and I'll be out of the country for the Duke-IU game on Nov 30. I nominate Mustang as my designated trash talker.

When it's actual gametime my long held hatred for Dook might overtake my current and strong anger at IU, but I told Mustang awhile back that I hope Dook trounces by 30+.

...could happen, but I doubt it. Hoosiers could've beaten Carolina last year and EVERYONE gets jacked to beat Duke. They'll hang in there....at least till the last 5-minute free-throw fest. Helmet, I'll try to run as much smack as I can but I've become a bit of an IU fan since moving here. It'll be the only night of the season I'll root against IU.

I'm still here, and college basketball season can't get here fast enough. Even if O-State has a group of newbies, I want to see them play!
