Here comes Hurricane Weis ND Bandwagon.
Get ready for it. I suspect as it picks up energy over the Gulf of Beeno it will be near Cat 5.
One would have expected Heinz Filed to begin to empty as ND pulled away. Wrong, the stadium stayed pretty full...because the folks who attended were ND fans!

Nice game Wannstadt, I can't believe this guy was Pederson's first choice for Neb. If Pedey was as on-the-ball as he thinks he'd have been jocking Weis. I'm not saying ND is "back" but it sure looks like they are taking steps in the right direction.

ND fans typically travel pretty well, especially in the northeast. You do know the origin of the term "subway alumni", don't you?PSUFAN wrote:One would have expected Heinz Filed to begin to empty as ND pulled away. Wrong, the stadium stayed pretty full...because the folks who attended were ND fans!

That is what struck me, Terry. I think that PGH ND fans alone could have filled Heinz. Downtown PGH was practically solid green yesterday. Oakland (the section of town where Pitt is located) was bumping last night, as Pitt folks turned their attentions to drinking.

I was impressed w/ the way the offense came out and played. It seems for the past 8-10 years, that ND settles for FG's in the redzone, but sat night they did a great job of finding weaknesses in Pitt's D and putting the ball in their great running back's hands. I think that The Irish will struggle defensively agaisnt Michigan, but i think they can at least hang w/ them offensively for the first half. I think that if the game was held in South Bend, that the Irish could def pull out the upset.

of course Ty got off to a quick 5-0, 6-0 start?

8-0 with a team that didn't score it's first offensive TD until the third game. They didn't score their sixth offensive TD until the final minutes of their fourth game. ND scored their sixth offensive on their seventh drive of the night, first drive of the second half.King Crimson wrote:props ND.

Wannstadt is dumb as a box of hair.
