Confidence Week 1 Pick'em

Hello, and welcome. Im looking forward to a great season, and can not wait until the kickoff on Thursday. (That means, you need to have your picks posted BY KICKOFF OF THURSDAY NIGHTS GAME! No exceptions will be allowed.

As most of you know, this is A SEASON LONG CONTEST. "What does this mean?" You ask. It means, if you want to play, then plan to play every week, for the entire season, or do not play at all. If you bomb the first week, dont go "OC Mike," and puss out the rest of the way. Suck it up, take your lumps, and rebound.

If you are going out of town, post 1,2,3 weeks in advance. I dont care. I will log and record your picks. I have no problem doing a little extra work, if you put in a little extra time, and make this contest what it is supposed to be.

Besides posting on time, and every week, the rules are simple. Make your picks, and post a number next to them. Normal weeks, 16 with your most confidence, and 1 with the game you have the least. During bye weeks, it will be 14 most, and 1 with the least confidence. If you miss picking a game, or posting a number, you will lose the highest point total for that week.

There is a lesson for me, read as opposed to looking at how others are doing their picks. I thought the way I did it was wrong, but because others were doing it that way I assumed that's the way it was supposed to be done here. Sorry about that, am going to fix it right now.

Showing off your clever use of BB code or nifty nicknames for teams serves absolutely no purpose other than wasting time for the person scoring the contest. In addition, it's also tremendously inconsiderate once you've been asked to comply with a simple request.

The same could be said for posting signatures in the contest thread, as they do nothing but create an eyesore.
