Unrack the lack of cupholders! It was really tough to find a safe place for my beer when I was there this past Friday night. Is that the reason they're building the new place? :wink:

Seriously though, I will miss that stadium as I'm sure anyone who calls themselves a Cardinal fan will as well. It may have only stood for 39 years but it seems the place has racked up just as many memories as Fenway or Wrigley and those have stood for about double the time if not more.

My girlfriend and I saw one last game (it was actually her first and last) and it was great to see a former Rockie hit the potential game winner!

Props to STL. I knew that town bled more than just red, it was Cardinal red. It was amazing to see a near full house and everyone wearing Cardinal gear and not just at the stadium. Just driving around town I could tell that Cardinal fever was running rampid.

War the Cards winning the World Series in their final season at their second, but most memorable, home!

I went to what will most likely be my last game at Busch last night.

Its pretty damned cool to go to the south side of the stadium and look into the half finished new stadium. Problem is every time I gazed into the new stadium I felt like I was neglecting the old one. Guess the sentimentality wasn't really there.

New stadium is awful close to the highway.

going to the game on the 30th. had ticks for saturdays game, but this is much more important. after all, someone has to carry the goalpost to Harpos after Tejas loses.

That was the second thing I noticed as I was walking around down there last week. If they really insisted to build it that close to the freeway, they may as well have asked MODot to move that elevated portion south a ways. It'll be a little further away and that bridge deck needs to be rebuilt anyway.

First thing I noticed was the extreme resemblance of Coors Field with just a few architectural differences and red seats.

Camden yards was sorta of a model for the new stadium, same designers built this one also.

there is no way they can even think about moving highway farty, too many people use that, and with no other bridges, it would be a massacre for rush hour traffic.
