The whole NL West is a steaming pile of shit
It's very possible that the division winner this year in the NL West will beat the '73 Mets (82-79) for the worst record ever by a division champion.
RACK the left coast and their piss-poor baseball teams.

Nope. Not dead.
The record doesn't bother me. I will take a NL West win happily if it happens. As you would take a division win for your team. Our pitching as been prettty spectacular. It's been the only thing worth watching this year. I don't care much about our record as much as the games have been pretty damn hitless and boring.

Welcome to the National League Norris Division! :P

Only you would be so content with this level of not-even-mediocrity.trev wrote:The record doesn't bother me. I will take a NL West win happily if it happens. Even if your team hangs on by a thread to win the division, they will get lit up in the playoffs worse than any KC Chiefs postseason debacle could ever imagine to be.
At least you can drink away the pain afterwards, though...

Spoken like a dense bitter hag whos team is 40 games out.JHawkBCD wrote:

I know the Royals suck. I know they need major changes. I don't accept the fact that they're shitty, nor do I make excuses for their shittiness by blaming the "big money teams".
You, however, are perfectly satisfied with the less-than-mediocre product that San Diego ownership shovels your way. You root for them as they stumble around and lose games as if they were your fetal-alcohol-syndrome afflicted child, for whom the opportunity to stand drooling uncontrollably in a platoon in right-center field with the amputee midget is an opportunity for you to cheer wildly.
You go, girl.

You mind telling the board why you hate the way you do?
Dude...get a frikkin' grip.
For the record, before I transfered to public high school from Catholic , I wore # 16 and our uniforms were modeled aftewr KC Royals gear.
Then when I got to public high school, (My bad because I had struggled to get on that hockey squad) it was all about the Pirates.
Why not the BoSox?
I'm a pretty logical fan. I don't expect my team to go anywhere in the playoffs playing like they have been. But if they are healthy and get hot, you neva know.
Chowd, hatin' is what little insecure twits do.
We have a lot of talent on our team and we have a few play makers. They're my all stars.

Enjoy your NL Crap division title because the reward will be a nice swift 3 game ass kicking by the Cards or Braves.trev wrote:The record doesn't bother me. Uh, the Padres are 5-1 against the Braves this season, 4-3 vs. the Cards.Jeff 2K5 wrote:Enjoy your NL Crap division title because the reward will be a nice swift 3 game ass kicking by the Cards or Braves.trev wrote:The record doesn't bother me. Not exactly overmatched so far.
They (San Diego) have officially clinched the record for the most number of losses by a division winner with 80, surpassing the '73 Mets.
One more loss to the Dodgers and they'll be be a .500 team.
The NL West - setting new standards of mediocrity - lowering the bar has never been more rewarded.
What a steaming pile of shit.
