Now might not be a bad time to pay that $500 lifetime subscription fee if you're a Sirius subsciber. I'd guess that subscription prices would eventually climb after a merger, I'd also imagine that Sirius/XM would be obligated to honor the $500 lifetime/all channels deal. They probably won't offer that option for much longer if the merger talks start making real headway.
