Rat, you're cracking me up. Me a "hater"??? That shows how little you "get it". To hate something I have to give a shit about it. Understand?

Ovencookin' is a good player, the Caps still suck. Keep entertain', ok?

Tune in and see the highlite for the 1st goal of the night for ATG.

It'll be on sportcenter after they show Crosby walking Maria's dog. Backhand, top shelf, plowed the goalie.

The Natural. Unbelievable.

Give him the C ..give him all the cash, give him a plane and a boatload of babes.

I have tears in my eyes. I could care less if they win this game. It sent chills down my spine seeing him move. He's a goddamn thoroughbred!

It was a very nice goal--but what you neglect to mention is that he HAS NO TEAM TO BACK HIM UP and that he and the rest of the Crapitals got punked 7-2 by the team with THE WORST POWER PLAY IN THE LEAGUE FOR THREE SEASONS RUNNING.

Gotta say, that was a great goal tonight!!

Not the backhand-plowing-over-goalie stuff that Rat Pack talks about, but the way he knocked that puck out of mid-air and still had the presense to take it to the net. That was impressive.

Mop, you're a moron.

When have I ever stopped cheering for the caps?

Honestly, you are delusional. You're living proof that if you tell a lie often enough...you start to believe it. What's the use...you're dismissed. Go back to your mopping up and avoiding the hubby's fist.

I know that the rest of you women have your tongues drooling for Maria's bottom boy.

Sometime around February, after they're eliminated from the playoffs. And then there was your stint as a Pens fan--and as a Stars fan before that. And of course the Rangers after they traded for Jagr.

Give it up, chief--you're nothing but a bandwagon-hopping foolio, and everyone on this board knows it.

I disagree with you Hap. Rat offers entertainment value and, yes, he cracks me up----something I can't say about you. Stay where you are Rat, we "grown-ups" (somehow I don't think of the word "grown-up" when Hap comes to mind) could use the distraction.

Caught the Caps last night against the Islanders along with 2,000 of my closest friends - I don't care what the "official" attendance says. Whatever the team record is for most goals allowed in a season, this shitty ass team may be poised to shatter it. Worst defense I have evah seen.

Alex O., on the other hand, is the realmuthafuckin deal.

It was nice to see the Habs retire Courneyeur's number 12 along with Dickie Moore and Boom Boom's sweaters.

Long overdue.

Not exactly..

They honoured all 3 last night but the Canadiens will pay tribute to Moore and Cournoyer in a pre-game ceremony on Saturday, November 12, against the Toronto Maple Leafs, while Geoffrion’s tribute will take place on Saturday March 11, prior to the game between the Canadiens and the New York Rangers.

Either way.. it's something that was long overdue and good on them for retiring those sweaters.

I was working last night so I couldn't watch the game. Since sneaking in the office building with a 12 inch TV was impossible, I attempted to purchase one of those Casio pocket TVs but the freakin' str at Central Station didn't open as scheduled and I soon had to leave for work. Why does these situations always occur at the wrong moment? Aaaaargh, my co-workers noticed I was extremely irritable last night.

Anyway I'm not picking up any calls from TO today, bode me.

Let's get back to me cheering for the Rangers...

Wouldn't stand to reason that I would be cheering for them? Jagr as 18 points... Yet I haven't mentioned him or them on this board.. Not once..

Like I said before... Acid queen is flatout lying.

I like the way you changed my post... That's groundbreaking.. That's Hap territory.

Oh yeah.. Two more goals from ATG What a juggernaut

Ho hum Another two ppg's for ATG. The Caps lay a beatdown on the struggling leafs.

ATG is the frontrunner for the Calder. That's two game winning goals in a row.

Smack aside for a moment:

Ovechkin is playing absolutely lights-out. If he keeps it up, especially on a dismal Crapitals team where Kolzig is the only other real talent right now, then he deserves the Calder and he should get the Calder--but I am wholly convinced that he won't get the Calder for two reasons:

1) Ovechkin's a Russkie going up against a Canadian who's been anointed as "The Next One" even though he hasn't done jack fucking shit to back it up since the season started.

2) The NHL has had Sidney Crosby's name engraved on it from day freaking one, so he'll get it unless he suffers a complete and total collapse on the ice one night and there's nothing left of him but a naked singularity--and even then there's still a damn good chance that he'll win it.

Now, I appreciate the talent that Sid Crosby has, and I appreciate his potential too--but let's be real. If Sid the Kid gets the Calder with the decidedly lackluster season he's likely to have based on his performance ~14 games in, it'll be obvious as hell that the fix is in.

Let the smack resume.

Cam Ward from the Hurricanes will probably get some votes as well, he has looked good so far.

Jason LaBarbara would be a great candidate, but he turns 26 this January.

I was with you up until here... maybe a quick glance at the rookie scoring leaders (yes, assists count as points too) would tell you that Crosby's been pretty damn impressive as well. If you mentioned that Ovechkin has less to work with, I might have conceded your point.

There are a lot of great rookies in the NHL this year. It's nice to see a bit of a changing of the guard, seeing some of the older tired names leave finally, and some fresh blood coming in.

Yeah, 5-4 is certainly a beatdown. :meds: I am also really shocked that you decided to show up after a Crapitals win. :meds: I guess the good news is that if you only show up during a Crapitals win, then you won't be posting here a lot.
