Is it too late to RACK the Bronco's for making a Super Bowl run again this year?poptart wrote:From what I read in here, Mule fans are some of the DUMBEST.
That'd be pretty damn impresive if the donks were to take thier 3rd lombardi in 8 years-i'd put it up there with the patriots run.......actually it'd be even more impressive because of the number of times shanny has gotten that team into the playoffs to make a run at it in between.

How the fuck is it norvs fault? Norv is the same guy he's been for the past 30 years-calm and low key.Aaron in Tucson wrote:Congrats Charger fans.
Way to get the guys cranked up for SD on the bye week Norv. Nice work.
Al is the one who knew this, yet hired the fuckin' guy. All of the sudden Norv's suppossed to be a bulldog?!? Not gonna happen.
Put the blame where it really belongs-on the man pulling EVERY fucking string in the organization-Alcula Dumbass.
Fucking old cunt is a pathetic joke-good thing he reeled in cats like my father when he suppossedly had half a brain and made sound decisions, because he is a fucking laughable joke to my entire generation of youngin's who love, know, and talk football daily.
I seriously dont know one cat in my age range that doesnt laugh at the mere mention of his name.
Pathetic.
The product on the field is a reflection on Al, no doubt.
Yes, Norv was HIS hire, and we also know (or strongly suspect) that Al pulls the trigger on personel moves.
So, the players' performance is also a reflection on Al.
It all adds up to not looking worth a shit for Alvis right about now.
What we also know is that nobody wants to win more than Al does. He wants it very VERY badly. Not only that, but I think Al believes this team that he has put together ought to win NOW.
So, what he sees right now kills him infinitely more than it does any of us.
The reality of the situation is that there is gonna be a fall guy.
Moss needs to be happy, so either Collins is gonna sit or Norv is gonna be shown the door.
One of those things will happen.
And the beat goes on...........

First and foremost, props to the Chargers for showing up ready to play from the opening kickoff, on the road with a short week.
If you didn't know better, you would have thought the Raiders lined up for their first pre-season game - Uninspired and Unprepared. There's really no other way to explain it. Norv Turner continues to strengthen his rep as a decent coordinatoor and horrible head coach. Rob Ryan is in way over his head.
Also, you can call it sour grapes, or call it what ever you want but I've grown tired of the officiating that benefits Raider opponents week in and week out. The phantom defensive holding call and the mysterious roughing the passer call prolonged early charger scoring drives. The mugging Randy Moss received on the play he got hurt, should have been an easy call. The two camera angles that showed LT's fumble late in the game did not provide enough evidence, in my opinion, to overturn the call on the field.
Lets hope that the search for a new coaching staff has already begun. I'm hoping someone like a Jeff Tedford makes the short list. Unlike many in here, I'm a big Al Davis fan, and I'm confident he'll do the right thing. Mr. Davis has generally done a decent job of bringing in and paying for talent, as evident this year in signing Jordan, Moss and Burgess. The Raiders have a decent mix of young and old talent that should be posting a better record than 1-4.
With all that being said, the Raiders will walk over Buffalo this week and make a run at the playoffs. This year's playoffs.
Let the sigs commence.

I saw two angles of that play. On both, there was no evidence of when LT let go of the ball. There was a player in the way on the side view. From the endzone the ball and LT's hands were hidden from the shadows.
maybe the officials were shown a different angle. But there was no clear evidence from those two angles of when he released the ball

I always hear this bullshit from Al apologists.poptart wrote:

Al may want to win, but not at the expense of his fucking overinflated ego-he has proven that time and again in my entire existance, with the one exception being the only time we legitimately competed for a title: Gruden.
We all saw how that went.
No, he doesnt-because any sane fucking human being who put this team together would know that this coaching staff is littered with failure. In my opinion, Thats the only thing keeping this team from winning, and the last thing Al will address in the correct way. Put Cowher, Jimmy Johnson, or Parcells in the HC spot and this team looks vastly different at this point. Not only that, but I think Al believes this team that he has put together ought to win NOW.
But something like that will never happen-He'll just hire another fucking puppet-case closed.
It couldnt be soon enough at this point. So, what he sees right now kills him infinitely more than it does any of us.

How is it clear if you can't see the ball?

Say what you will, and see what you will (or want to see), but the bottom line on that deal is that if the teams are reversed there is not a snowball's chance in hell that that call is OVERTURNED in Oakland's favor.
Inconclusive VISUAL evidence.
Where's the ball....?
Ruling on the field should have been honored.

You know what I'VE grown tired of.....freekin Raiduhfan going to the officiating card week after week after getting their asses kicked into oblivion. Was the roughing the passer a BS call?..from where I sat it was a phantom call, didn't even see any contact. Was L.t. down?..YES his whole leg and ass was on the ground when the Oakland dude cheap shotted him and caused the fumble! From where I sat, NOBODY mugged or even touched Moss before the ball arrived. All three went for the ball as they all have a right to do, and Moss happened to be in the middle. When the ball arrived of course he got sandwiched, great double coverage. If it's McCardell, who knows, I may see it slightly differently.
OK, that's how it looked to Chargerfan. Did it look that way to Raiduhfan..NO
Here's the deal Raiduhfan.....it happen's every single week in every single game, in every single NFL city....Homers for one team see it one way, while the guy sitting next to him rooting for the other team see's it the other way...The official's blow call's on every team in the league. Every fan for every team thinks his team gets the ass-end of the calls.
After that pathetic performance yesterday by the Raiduhs I would'nt have the balls to mention ANYTHING except how my team didn't show up and got the snot slapped outta them. The game wasn't near as close as the lopsided score would indicate!
The Raiduhs have been undisicplined for the better part of 20 years. They regularly lead the league in braindead penalties. It's NOT the refs'.
REALIZE YOU'RE LOOKING AT THE GAME THROUGH A GLASS DARKLY, YOU SEE WHAT BENEFIT'S YOUR TEAM....JUST LIKE THE REST OF US!

So you were sitting with your head up your ass. no surprise.
Not only was there contact with Moss before the ball arrived, the second defender wasn't even playing the ball, he was faceguarding.
Again, no visual evidence LT possessed the ball when he was down. none.

Are you fucking kidding me?
Yeah, we got penalized numerous times. again.
But NO, the refs didnt cost us the game.
Undisciplined players, A horrible coaching staff, and Shitty playcalling led to our loss.
Then again, i've never been one to pin any fucking loss on the refs.....with the exception of the snow job.
Like mike said, every fucking team gets bad calls every fucking week. If our team was fucking disciplined, we'd cut down on the vast majority of them.

Exactly.Sirfindafold wrote:Again, no visual evidence LT possessed the ball when he was down. none.
In order for a ruling on the field to be overturned there must be VISUAL evidence.
None was present.
Mike, I know where you are coming from.
Hell, if Oakland had been given the ball after that play Collins likely would have stumbled, gotten sacked, tossed a pick, or.....one of the o-linemen would have gotten called for holding, and it would not have mattered.
It was that kind of day for Oakland.......that kind of season.
Point is, there were once again, 'strange' calls that went against ......... Oakland.
I guess one has to walk in Raider fan's shoes to just KNOW that it is.
