I'm looking forward to the upcoming season, even though it will be a long one for us.

I wish we could just skip this season, and as many as will be needed until IU has a new coach.
"Our staff is going to ensure that anyone who attends this University and wears the Indiana uniform will make this privilege among their highest priorities and not treat the opportunity as an entitlement,'' Crean said in a statement. "We fully expect our student-athletes to accept the responsibilities academically, athletically and socially that come with representing one of the top programs in college basketball history."

For many Hoosier fans, the basketball future is unrelentingly bleak. IU should be good enough to maybe finish 3rd or 4th in conference, make the NCAA tournament, and maybe win a game or two (mind you this is the most optimistic scenario). This will show "improvement" by the basketball team, thus solidifying Davis' job, and reinforcing Shine's statement, "...where mediocrity is rewarded."
Best thing to happen would be a total collapse and ensuing hunt for new coach, something that doesn't happen around here too often.

Nevertheless, I'm a season ticket holder this year, in effect supporting the current regime, much to Shine's chagrin. I offered him 1/2 of my ticket a while back but he just couldn't do it. Too bitter. IU vs. Duke provides quite the delimma for him. Ticket's waiting for you, sir......

Whole lotta Big XII up in this place. That would make me happy if the Tigers weren't destined for 9th place in the division.

Dammit, I think we hired another Texas A & M assistant.

Fuck you. Not my fault that our football program is about as exciting as a double-dose of morphine.

A double dose of morphine is decidedly more interesting than our football team.

I'm looknig forward to seeing what Billy Gillispie can do in his second year at A&M. A-Wright will not be here which will hurt, but hopefully Martellus Bennet shows some promise and picks up some of this slack. If his hands are as "soft" as they are on the gridiron, he won't get much PT.

Acie Law is coming off a monster season. Joseph Jones will also be a big factor returning. We went deep into the NIT last year and all but Wright are returning. I'm expecting A&M to finish in the top 5 in the XII and make it to the 2nd round of the tourney at a minimum. Anything less will be a dissapoinment.

A double dose of morphine would be a 7 1/2 point favorite against our football team.
