You guys just got Tim Rattay in a trade for a conditional draft pick .
Good luck .
Buc fan .....
Well, with what's available out there what can ya do? If he even sniffs a start we would obviously be in a very bad way. As far as Simms, all the Griese naysayers here locally finally have their wish. I wont even begin to debate him till I see at least 2 starts
M2, the way of the Vikings?? Come on guy, I know you just casting a line here but I'll bite. The Bucs certainly did'nt get to 5-1 on the strength of their QB position. While I believe the loss of Griese is an obvious set-back, it is in no way a season collapsing event. Defense, the running game, and a QB not making game losing decisions drives them.
I'll guess we'll see if Jr. Simms has even some of the sac his pops had...

Go Bucs, Gators

Uh, he's 3rd string. Its called insurance. Actually, I can't fault him. Vinnie's already taken.drummer wrote:You guys just got Tim Rattay in a trade for a conditional draft pick .

And, to reiterate, Griese was just enough. This team is built on running the ball and stopping the run. That's how we win games and will continue to do so.
No one should be screaming that our season is over just because a okay QB goes down. Griese made many errors and his completion percentage was high because he dumped it to the backs all game long.
Go Bucs!

Uh, that number one rush defense will do fine. Simms was so overrated that he was a 3rd or 4th round selection. So hyped that he wasn't even a first or second rounder. Yeah, that's hype.Adelpiero wrote:The lineman better open up some holes. Simms is shit.
Most overrated and hyped up QB since the Marinovich debacle.
The Defense will have to step up bigtime.
Do you even know what the hell you are talking about?

I think Simms has the ability to be a decent QB. Teams can win w/ great defense, a good running game and QB who doesnt make many mistakes i.e. 2001 Ravens, 2004 Steelers. Not saying the Bucs are a threat to win the SB, but I can still see the Bucs going 11-5 and maybe, maybe getting a first round bye. I think that Simms is a smart kid and this is his third year in Gruden's system. Rattay was merely an insurance policy and I think it is a decent move. The gave up a 7th round pick for him, so its not like the Dolphins who gave up a high draft pick for AJ Feelmynuts.
Yes, Simms blows ( he was highly touted as a HS Qb, and was drafted in 3rd round, and was considered a very good project, who could turn out to be a solid QB)T REX wrote:Uh, that number one rush defense will do fine. And a very good d means nothing if your offense can't move the ball.
Tricks, why haven't you facefucked that curb yet?
