Just my not-brush with semi-celebrity.
Interesting.
Bowman has subed at corner and plays special teams, just last night Bill Busch the safeties and special teams coordinator coach was saying he is getting better each week.
Came in with high expectations and probably would be considered under achieving up to this point.
Did get a pick last week on a poorly thrown ball by Baylor's second team QB.
Getting used to D-1 wide outs is taking some time.
He'll hit his stride and have his best game,....oh lets say October 29.

hey heupel,

I'm not sure if you realize it yet, but the huskers are gonna beat your sooners on saturday,
are you ready?
stoops had a nice 5 year run, get ready, cause callahan is gearing up for a two decade run, thats right, you heard correctly, callahan is slowly shifting the power back to nebraska, he knows how to recruit, and he is a better game day coach than stoops, so, this saturday, NU beats you guys, 38-20, bank on it,

Huskers showed a lot of ability as they walked into Columbia yesterday and got their ass handed to them. Sooners must be scared shitless.

Sooners should be riding a wave of confidence after they destroyed Baylor on Saturday. OU-NU will be an epic showdown for the ages. Anyone want to wager the odds of Game Day coming to town?

Just a general fan. Went to Texas Pan American in beautiful Edinburg, TX. Root for the Horns most Saturdays considering it is THE University of Texas.

So there are some Saturdays that you don't root for Tejas? What Saturdays are those?

FWIW, I thought you were a Baylor fan...

Though Nebraska is not that good, OU is not either. In Lincoln, advantage Nebraska.

I actually thought he was a Baylor fan as well. I have a lot of respect for Baylor fans, they suck, they know they suck, yet they are sill good fans.

I've heard there is some pretty good deer hunting over in Edinberg. I had a friend who would always go hunting at some ranch near Edinberg and he always came back with a pretty nice buck.

Yeah, I was thinking it was kind of cool we had a Baylor fan in our midst.

campin,
There's kind of an unwritten prerequisite to posting here that you have to pick a favorite team. It's not really fair to just pop in on threads and make smart ass comments without opening yourself up for the same ridicule. You seem like a good poster and a solid addition to the board, but you gotta pick a team...

I know I just thought it sucked that OU fans here seemed to drool over each other's posts and act like they own the place. I root for Texas, but I did not attend the school or jump on any bandwagon either. I can remember from years of heartbreak and paper champions. I am from deep South Texas where the we either choose Texas Pan Am or UT-Brownsville. Or we can drive 100 miles to A&M Kingsville. Usually the local TV affiliates always show Texas games so as a child that was our team. Longhorns on Saturdays, Cowboys on Sundays. Friday nights though it is all about the Port Isabel Tarpons. Except when they are playing Texas, I can't help but root for other Texas schools, even though saying "gig em" is hard to do.

Hard to believe OU and Neb are going at-it and neither team is even in the top25. But the winner of this game should be set for a strong finish, the loser will draw major fan ire.

Considering OU was in their own crib getting taken to OT by Baylor is pretty lame, but we were more lame. But the game is in Lincoln, which against a young qb could put us over-the-top. Turnovers will probably be key.

Bowman has been somewhat a disappointment so far. I'd put that partly on overhype and partly on Elmassian. What has that nomad, crony-hire done? Daniel Bullocks hasn't developed a bit in the last two years. Getting rid of Marvin Sanders was moronic, he was the best position-coach we had and likely our future DC. His young tarheel defense bounced back from a nightmare Louisville game to majorly stone Virginia and overall they've played pretty solidly. He is going to be a player in the years to come.

Ya you were better than the scoreboard implied but considering you were at Norman you still shouldn't be letting Baylor go to OT. But hey, at least you got it together in the second half to come out with a win, our second half against Mizzou was a mess.

This game should be interesting, the winner can finish strong and make a decent bowl, the loser faces considerable fan unrest and an also-ran bowl.

I'm really glad it is in Lincoln, we need all the crowd-help we can get.

Defensively, If Cosgrove dicks around and gets us behind early yet again I'll freaking strangle him. We need to be coming after Bomar from the start, put our sack-attack in overdrive and leave the kid picking up his teeth. I don't want to see this "play base then adjust after getting scored on" crap or the freaking 3-4. The 3-4 worked against Tech but we've lost another backer since then and it isn't surprising anyone anymore. Our D-line is easily our biggest asset now, taking any one of those guys out is just stupid. Also we need LB McKeon in the mix, not having him cover guys thirty yards downfield.

Offensively we need to take care of the football, turnovers killed us in the second half against Mizzou. We also had too many dropped passes and weren't committed to the run nearly enough. We have quality backs, USE THEM CONSISTENTLY.

I expect this game to be a barnburner and go to the wire, hopefully we can squeak out a W.

Yes and no.

Decent analysis nonetheless, D.

The fake FG did you guys in. Don't believe the big red ever recovered from that. I can guarantee it was Robert calling that one and not Chucky. I even have a witness, someone who stole my nic this weekend. And no, that doesn't mean Brad is my troll, trolls.
