By all means this is much more important than ....

Same as with the Republicans vs. Clinton. By all means let's bog down an administration with manufactured scandal.

Then when our citizens are running for their lives because of external enemy activity, we should know who exactly is to blame.

Ourselves.
With all the horseshit around here, you'd think there'd be a pony somewhere.

Roll your eyes all you want Tom, but 2 billion is still 7 billion shy of what has disapeared in Iraq since the United States took over.

Or did you miss this story?

WASHINGTON (CNN) -- Nearly $9 billion of money spent on Iraqi reconstruction is unaccounted for because of inefficiencies and bad management, according to a watchdog report published Sunday.

Investigating an administration who esposes CIA operatives as a part of their political strategy is not "manufacturing scandal".

Wrong. The indictments will come for lying to the grand jury. Sound familiar ?

No crime was committed as pertains to Plame's FORMER life as a covert op. She was no longer covert.

BSmack, When you stop using oil or any products manufactured or shipped with oil products or byproducts, then you may have a right to complain.

Until then just be thankful that you live in a country that, even though you don't appreciate it, is on the right side.

Oh, so now you know what everybody else in Washington is begging to know? I seriously fucking doubt that. If the Special Prosecutor fails to indict for exposing Plame, it will only be because Rove, Libby, Miller et al did a good job with their game of Hide the Salami.

Old men and their chicanery. :P

Of course I believe that to be true. If my father were the executioner and I were to be against the death penalty. How can I protest him, while living under his roof ? Hmmmm. ?

I must renounce him, all he had given me, .... tear the clothes purchased from his blood money from my back .... and MoveOn.org

You're so Catholic. I bet you loved reading about the flagellants.

Then what's the point of investigating it at all ? You obviously think YOU KNOW, what's really going on and nothing, not even the facts will ever change your mind.

Contempt, prior to investigation. In YOUR world, even if no crime at all was committed, you convict Rove, Libby, Cheney, and Bush. You lack objectivity. That's your biggest problem. You are incapable of being objective.

Either that or no laws were broken. Yeah...yeah, we know you'll squealing like Ned Beatty in Deliverance regardless.

I don't think any of you idiots have thought this through to it's conclusion.
You might get an indictment on Libby possibly even Rove, but there is no fucking way in hell you're going to get a conviction on anything and even if you did they would get pardoned immediately.

The bottom line is now and always will be:

Who gives a fuck?
Hmmmm...

A few weeks ago you were guaranteeing no indictments.

Now it's no convictions. You're pretty damn good at moving the bar.
Next it'll be no jail time, then definite pardons. How much can you be wrong and still claim to be right?

You were just proclaiming "it's over" back in July.

Kinda humorous that B is bagging on the US for the unaccounted for $9 billion when we only know that it is unaccounted for because the government conducted its audits and found that out.

This administration does not expose CIA operatives, implicitly nor explicitly.

BTW -- have you yet read the David Corn article in the Nation that was published before Rove talked to Novak and cited Plame's covert status?? I wonder why you people are not demanding Wilson's head for telling David Corn this....

And the UN found out because the Oil For Food Fairy told them?

Curious, I couldn't determine from the article whether this was a UN audit or US audit. That CNN article indicates that this audit was performed by an IG named Bowen, but doesn't indicate whether he was a UN employee or not.
