Bertuzzi returns to the scene of the crime

First time since the incident that Bertuzzi will play at Pepsi Center. They will play a second time on Saturday as the nightcap on HNIC...great doubleheader with Leafs-Sens as the early game.

I didn't watch much of the first Canucks-Avs game last Saturday so I don't know how the Avs were treating him. In front of the home crowd, you wonder if someone will challenge him to a fight. I don't expect anything less than boos from the Denver crowd. They have all the right in the world to be angry and outraged but hopefully none of them do anything stupid like throw things on the ice. Let the matter be resolved on the ice. I don't think a single fight will ease the tension but I'd expect Bertuzzi to have to pay some sort of a punishment from the Avalanche. It would be ironic if Brad May fought him...they don't really have another tough guy in the lineup.

The Avs org. has thrown Steve Moore to the wolves. I don't see why the fans should care.

Seeing Big Bert boohooing into his big white hanky was one of the most pitiful events in the history of hockey. There is nothing anyone could add to that.

Avs fans booed May when he cheap shotted and boarded Norstrom a week ago. They hate him as much as Bertuzzi. They would root for May to get hurt.

1st Period is over the Avs are up 3 to 1 and not one Avalanche player has taken off his skate and chopped Bertuzzi’s head off with it

Nucks don't seem too interested in winning this game, they are gooning it up tonight. Enjoy the trip back to Omaha (since the Nucks are too pussy to say in Denver) tonight.

Yeah, I'm done with the game...blowout city. Just you wait, something probably happens late in the game when I've gone to bed.

I've definitely underestimated the Avs this year. I thought the loss of Forsberg and Foote would knock them down a notch but they're scoring like nobody's business. J.M. Liles has been dynamite so far...he should definitely get consideration for the US Olympic team.

I guess laying an asskicking on the scoreboard was good enough to sent Barftuzzi a message. That and the merciless boos from the fans that he so richly deserves.

I am a little surprised there wasn't a brawl out there. Maybe the Avs just wanted to play hockey.

Either that or they're saving it all for round 2 Saturday night.

FUCK BERTUZZI and the League for letting this worthless pathetic cowardly excuse for a human being play while his victim (and yes 'nuck fan, MOORE is the victim) is still wondering if he'll ever play again.

Rack the Avalanche Fans for getting all over Bertuzzi’s shit! Gotta love the last 30 seconds of the game when all you could here was the chant of “BERTUZZI SUCKS” The Fans know what the “CODE” in the NHL is, how can Avalanche players sit back and do nothing? Last night’s game was the perfect time to do something (big lead, home crowd)! Yes they won that game, but when all is said and done the Canucks will make the Avs their Bitch this year! (They’re off to a good start)

Thanks to players like Brashear, Bertuzzi, McSorely and other hatchet men the league and players are changing their attitudes about excessive gooning.

Settle shit by dropping the gloves and knocking his teeth out. That's the way to go. And when that happens you can cheer and shouting and wave your big ass foam finger all you want and no one will be able to argue with you. But to come out like you did, pistols blazing and mouth running at top speed accomplishes one thing....making yourself look like a complete ass. True hockey fans do not think like that.
