I'm probably not as big a hockey fan as most of you but nonetheless I was excited to see the Flyers sign Forsberg.
Thus far I am throughly impressed with his play on both ends of the ice. His passing is crisp (Gagne may score 50 because of Forsberg). His back checking is impressive.
Once this team starts stringing wins together, the rest of the conference is in a lot of trouble.
Forsberg was my pick for the Hart Trophy before the season. He's been an MVP player with the way he's impacted the Flyers and his influence on Gagne. He's got to stay healthy but he's still the best player on the planet.

Gagne should score 40+ with Forsberg feeding him the biscuit. Knuble rounds out a solid line for the Flyers...he does the dirty work and plays near the net. Forsberg has re-established himself as the premiere playmaker in the league with his start to the season. This opened up style suits him perfectly. He should be able to eclipse the 100 point mark for sure this season.
