"I was 27 years old the first time I died."
Pretty good flick if you can look over the minor imperfections.
The visuals were great and Adrien Brody's acting was outstanding. He is quickly becoming one of my favorite actors.
Brody plays Jack Stark, a Gulf War veteran who suffers from amnesia because of a near fatal head injury. Once he is released, he is seen hitching on a cold winter day where he comes across a broken down truck with an adorable little girl who is stranded with her alcoholic mother. Once he time travels into 2007 due to drug injections and sensory deprivation, he meets the grown up version of the little girl(hottie Keira Knightley) who remembers Jack Starks but flips out when he tells her that he is Jack Starks. She tells him when Jack Starks died and kicks him out of her house. As it turns out, the Jack Starks who saw ahead in time has 4 days to live.
It's much more involved than that, but I don't want to give too much away.
This is a major departure from Knightley's previous roles, as you get to see her naked sitting in a tub, although she doesn't have much to look at. She puts on a rather convincing American accent and her acting is very good. Kris Kristopherson and aging hotties Jennifer Jason Leigh and Kelly Lynch also do a fine job.
On a scale of an $8 movie ticket, I give this movie $6.53.
