Broncos used trick plays in beating Eagles

Post by jiminphilly »

Where Shanahan came up with this idea of handing the ball off to a RB is beyond me. I used to think Reid was the king of trick plays when he fake punted or did a fake field goal. He should take some notes from Shanahan and use some of those trick 'running' plays.

Considering the Eagles only had 10 players on the field at the time, I would have to agree.

They kept LT to 7 yards on 17 carries and you don't think can stop Anderson & Bell?
No, I don't.

Next?
I wasn't so myopic about this game, maybe you shouldn't be either.
I'm sorry, you were saying something about being myopic?

The Eagles defense would not have been able to stop Temple's run or pass game yesterday and the Broncos used the pass to set up the run very nicely and once the snow ball got rolling.... Rack the Broncos for a great game plan.

However, when you make a statement, it would help if you back it up with some analysis rather then waiting till the day after to claim your 'bode. Otherwise your just throwing out wild predictions and hoping they come true.

Hardly-- I'm saying you might want to offer the board some analysis next time otherwise your dart board prediction looks like nothing but that.
No one, not even you, could have predicted the Broncos would run the ball for over 200 yards and throw for over 300 against the Eagles Defense.

Make no mistake.. the Broncos had no trouble running the ball, as evidenced by Anderson's 126 yards but the total rushing yards were misleading at best. Bell's 2 td runs weren't even determining factors in the game. The game was all but over when he made his 67 yard run so that was nothing but a stat stuffer, as was his 2nd TD run.

However if you're only basis for that prediction was because the Eagles got lucky against LT than forgive me if I don't put much stock on your predictions.

I wouldn't put much stock in them either.

If by "misleading", you mean, lending creedence to how totally fucking manhandled the Eagles were on both sides of the ball, then you fucking nailed it.

Take away the 67 yard run and they still piled up about 190 yards rushing. What the fuck is your point here?

Please tell me you're not actually going to try that path, Jim.

Eagles got steamrolled by a better team yesterday.

Dress up the shit sandwich Felix has served you all you like; however, it's still going to taste the same.

He got over ... turn the page.

I've moved on- the game next Sunday night should be interesting- two teams coming off embarrasing losses playing to gain ground in a tight division. I'm looking for a game like the Body Bag game back in 1990.
Yeah fuckers.... I'm back
