"As democracy is perfected, the office of president represents, more and more closely, the inner soul of the people. On some great and glorious day the plain folks of the land will reach their heart's desire at last and the White House will be adorned by a downright moron."

Is it really necessary to run job approval polls every three days?!

Oh, and biiiiig shocker that Bush's numbers are down as compared to September. And there he was expecting the indictment of a member of his administration to pull him up some...

Uh, they ALL pull that shit. It's politics 101. Don't think that if this were happening with a Democratic president that he wouldn't be on the floor of the UN making dishing out some fiery rhetoric against Syria or Iran to get the media to focus on something else.

Who's defending it? I'm just saying that it's nothing special. Hell, even community college presidents pull that manuever. But I guess it's just especially bad if a Republican does it, right? Gimme a break.

Give me a break. By saying everybody does it, you minimize it. Just answer wether it is right or wrong.

It's not "wrong" for anyone to do it. It's low and scummy, but I wouldn't say "wrong".
