My condolences, Bri, but the Steelers are going down.

I heard it straight from Vince who got a personal assurance from God. Nitchke even went in and put his head through the wall in God's locker room.

Batch will be sacked numerous times by Joe Jones or Lee Smith or whomever is still left on the Pack's mighty defense. On offense, expect Brandon Something-or-Other or Marcus Whatshisname to have big days.

We shall see just how good Batch is. Even Maddox was a serviceable NFL QB for a few years. It is not like Cowher will be asking Batch to do much. Just hand the ball off to Parker and do a little dink and dunk every so often to confuse the Packers defense. Which, since their coach is a retard, shouldn't be too hard.

I think Pittsburgh can pull this one out even with Batch unless Favre has another family member die, get diagnosed with cancer, get flooded, or become addicted to painkillers.

Word is his second cousin who got addicted to painkillers while recivering from nut cancer died when his house got flooded. Expect Brett to throw 600+ yards and 15 TD's in his honor.

The Ravens actualy present matchup problems for the Steelers with their O line and defensive front 7. That is why I was telling you fools that a 10 point line was more than reasonable. Even if Roethlisberger was healthy, I didn't see them steamrolling the Ravens.

The Pack not so much. This game will be close. But I fully expect the Steelers running game to be the difference.

Actually I expect the Peckers to keep the running game in check to a degree (around 100 yds. total) and for Batch to make a few throws to make the difference.
Watch for Quincy Morgan to have an impact.

I smell upset here.

The Ravens and Steelers contests are physically and emotionally draining, and the Steelers will have a short week to recover before heading to Lambeau to play the Packers. Over the past three seasons, the Steelers have shown signs of a letdown following a game against the Ravens: their average points against for the 2002-2004 seasons was 19.2; their average points against following a Ravens game was 27. This game is also a sandwich game for the Steelers-they have just come off two division wins, and have a division game coming up in Week 10.

Without Roethlisberger playing the Steeler offense is 2nd rate. Very similar to the Raven team of a couple of years ago. Good running team, good D, and an ineffective passing game.

He didn't even cause the fumble. He was in the right place at the right time. I like the guy, he has shown some serious potential but he's not untradeable- yet.

Troy mentioned that he was kicking himself for missing the sack, but McFadden was there. He was indeed in the right spot at the right time, and he made the most of it. I agree that Troy was the difference in this game. He's one hell of a young player - Rod Woodson-esque.

Being in the right place at the right time is not caused by dumb luck. He flushed Favre into McFadden and then made the game breaking play when he scooped up the fumble and took it to the house.

As long as Roethlisberger can remain upright the Steelers look good. If not...they're done....no matter how good the defense plays. Batch & Maddox make Trent Dilfer look like Joe Montana.

It was a good thing Duce stepped up. I couldn't believe how many people were yelling "DUCE" at lambeau. There must have been a big steeler fans base at the game.

Looks to me- right place at the right time. Not something he planned...
