With the trade deadline for my league approaching next week- I wanted to make a move to shore up a spot or two. There is a team who was hurt by injuries- losing Ahaman Green, and getting killed by Jamal Lewis' lack of production. They need a starting running back badly- so I am offering them Stephen Davis & Derrick Mason for Tory Holt. This will give me another solid reciever going into the stretch run (I already have Harrison & Smith). It looks like they'll take it.. now I just want to shore up my QB as well and I am set. Is this a fair trade based on their needs?
My roster for the postseason would look like this: (Starting 2 RB, 3 WR)
QB- Jake Plummer, Brad Johnson (See below)
RB- Edge, Julius Jones, Chris Brown & Duce Staley
WR- Harrison, Steve Smith, Tory Holt, Greg Lewis, Kevin Curtis
TE- Crumpler
K- Vanderjagt, Akers
Def- Philly, Seattle
My QB position is still a little iffy- so I am exploring a trade possibility with the guy that has the Manning brothers. I am trying to get Peyton for Brown, Lewis & Curtis since he never starts Peyton over Eli- but I doubt that will actually happen.
FF Trade
Not starting Peyton is dumb, but it's alot smarter than trading him to a league foe. If he goes for that deal, then I want in on some of that action kcdave is spyin.
Your RB situation is a bit unstable after Edge. JJ is lookin over his shoulder at Marion, Brown plays on a shitty Titan team (shitty teams = lots of second half passing) and Duce is just Pitt's "flavor of the month" (no truth to the rumor that next month is Rocky Road Blier).
Davis is dealing with his own RBBC dilemma, but you can expect D Foster will fumble his way to the bench if a stubbed toe don't get him there first. Stephen is good for at least a score a game with the game plan the Panthers are rollin out.
I think Edge and Davis, with Marvin, Steve "Just Sick" Smith and Kevin Curtis as your WRs looks alot better than having to rely on Jones, Brown or Staley as your 2nd back. Besides, Steve Smith is as good as having 2 WRs in your lineup on any given Sunday. I think he must be suckin a mean Delhomme cock the way Jake keeps feedin him.
Don't do that deal man. Your team is fine as it is.

After I posted this- I looked at it more and have already pulled the offer. My plan had been to handcuff Barber in Dallas with Jones- but I hate the RBC. Davis scares me only b/c he is putting up shite in the way of yards- but if keeps getting me 50 yards and 1+ TD's.. great! I put an offer through for Brown, Mason & Lewis for Holt to see if they would be dumb enoough to bite (they are desperate for any type of starting Rb right now and their season is swirling)- but I'm not holding my breath.Roofer wrote:Not starting Peyton is dumb, but it's alot smarter than trading him to a league foe.
