Hmmmmm?...so losing depth at RB is a plus for you ey Paul. You certainly won't suck with LJ toting the pig, however, should he tweek an ankle or twist a knee, or run into Shawne Merriman....well you know where I'm going. Losing an all-pro, an inspriational leader, and a locker room stalwart may not be the plus you're looking for.KC Optimist wrote:since Priest got dropped on IR today, the Chiefs' ground game just got BETTER.

Shawne Merriman was the guy who ended Priest Holmes' season and maybe his career.

Actually the condition existed before the start of this season. Merriman might have put the final nail in the coffin but he was not the direct cause. Holmes already had some issues in training camp when he was having tingling feelings in his hands.BSmack wrote:Pssst!DallasFanatic wrote:Uh Mike, have you seen the guy play? Sounds like this was a long time coming for Priest.

I know. I was just pointing out to DF the reason for Shawne Merriman's inclusion in Charger Mike's post.jiminphilly wrote:Actually the condition existed before the start of this season. Perhaps Merriman should not have been mentioned at all.BSmack wrote:I know. Seeing as it was Merriman's hit that finished Holmes, I'd say it was quite appropriate.jiminphilly wrote:Perhaps Merriman should not have been mentioned at all.

You've been duly woken and made aware.....anything I could add would be piling on...with that in mind! Yes Iv'e seen him play, and if all you've seen is an agressive rookie who plays himself out of position, then I question how much YOU'VE seen him play.DallasFanatic wrote:Uh Mike, have you seen the guy play? Is there a rookie who doesn't get burned? the fact that he's starting as a rookie and making a huge impact speaks for itself. Then again, what can you expect from the crackwagon.
