Anyone ever play it? According to CNN a guy has gone and purchased a virtual space station in the game for $100,000. Yes, real money. The game has its own monitary value but its linked to the USD. He actually plans to develop it into a space age Dino park and sell tickets to hunt Dinasours. Plans to make about $20k a Month.

I should add that its amazing that such a world exists. I remember that in 97 or 98 I used to screw around in a Virtual Chat world. I think it was one of the first of its kind. Now they have a Huge Virtual world that is financially linked to ours. Its also interesting because I remember reading a book back in my younger days that was about a murder in a virtual world that somehow translated to the real world. We aren't there just yet, but this certainly is starting to sound a bit similar.

I read the same book, I think. Wasn't it about either a virtual wild animal park or safari type park where people purchased adventure packages? I bet I have it in a box somewhere.

damn, I can't recall the name.

Be curious to see what this entropia is all about.
