FF Question

Post by RSoxFan »

Start Julius Jones or Marion Barber? I am leaning towards Barber because Jones is just coming back and he may be eased back into the lineup. Any thoughts. Thanks.

Cowboys running back Julius Jones has practiced with the team all week and it continues to appear he'll play on Monday for the first time since October 9, according to the team's website. Jones has been sidelined for the last month with a high left ankle sprain.

Sounds like Jones is your man, although Barber's showing while filling in for JJ may mean more carries for him than he otherwise would have. Sorry to say, but tonight's the night that question will be answered.

However, considering it was a high ankle sprain, that wheel could go south in a hurry. Those motherfuckerin HAS' are a thorn in every FF geeks side.

Until I read this......
Nov 13 Coach Bill Parcells would not name Jones as his starting running back for Monday's game, the Dallas Morning News reports.
Recommendation: Jones will play, but Parcells indicated that he's considered having him come off the bench. "The factors would be this: if I thought a different rotation would give us a better chance to win the game or maybe I wanted to let him get a look at the defense to see what's going on because he's not been under fire," Parcells said. "We've been rotating players all year." This could be a smokescreen to keep the Eagles defense guessing, however -- we still expect Jones to get 20 or more touches.

Good luck with that.

Hunch says Jones.

I went with Barber. I really hate running back by committee though.
