Was more like a 10 minute delay than the 5 they mention.
Rack CU fan on the classic national TV exposure of sportsmanship and all around class.
Anyone ever seen that act before?
Plus 2 dudes runs from end to end of stadium, on the field untouched by any security dudes, (probbie drinkin' with the students).
Best run by anyone representing Gold and Black all day.
Curious recruiting tool if you ask me but whatever works.
CU was entertaining a number of potential recruits. I'm sure the score and the fan support left a lasting memory for them.
Sets you back...errr...4-5 years me thinks or until Barnett can line up another assistant coach to "hook-up" recruits.

you forgot Av monkeys and their bronco tard counterparts!
Av monkeys are well known for throwing garbage on the ice, assaulting visiting fans, and abusive behaviour.
lets not forgot the bronco fans, verbally assaulting their own cheerleaders, having your starting qb call you out as losers. etc
it's in the water.
but hey, CU is looking at a 10 win season. buwahahahahahaha

I may live just 20 minutes from Boulder, but all I gotta say about that loss is bwhwhahahahahahahahaa!!!!!
FUCK the Buffs!
I'm surprised Boulder hasn't burned to the ground and gotten wiped off the map tonight!
Not that I'm a Cornsucker fan, but just love it whenever the Buffs lose.

For a refresher course on how to act at a college football game, go to Memorial Stadium in Nebraska. That was atrocious, but I was actually loving every second of it because it was CU fan at their worst for the whole country to see. You know they had recruits there with their parents. I'm sure the pregame intimidation display of trash talking that the CU team tried, the various personal fouls and the fan display didn't help their recruiting causes much.
For those that missed it, the bottles and pom poms kept raining from the student section. They got several warnings, but then the refs decided to clear out the whole student section. What's funny is that they never penalized the CU team despite the warnings because those guys didn't leave quietly or quickly. Warnings of not throwing the trash were met with def ears, too.
I have no idea what they were pissed about. It's not like the trash came after a bad call, it was after several hours of bad football. Throw it at your team instead...
I was extremely proud of the way our team played, by the way. Thought we were in for a long day after CU's first long run, but then it was almost nothing the whole game.

There WERE throwing it at their own team, dumbfuck.
The Student section is in the EAST stands, and the Visitors bench is on the WEST side, so they sure as fuck weren't throwing shit at N-is-for-Knowledge player

I have my fair share of threads in the archives- in fact, I have caused more than a few meltdown threads that made their way to the archives. Here's a helpful hint for you: If you want to employ sarcasm, it helps to have something to be sarcastic about. In this case, archive smack only serves to illustrate your total lack of game.bray2 wrote:oh fuck, you got me, you have some mad game dude. If your not all over the archives, you should be.

I called my buddies, because none of us had ever heard the N thing before. So the one guy, he does'nt get it. I say look, when you say the word knowledge, the k is silent and sounds like an N. So Nebraska guys are so stupid, they think the N is for Knowlegde. Get it??????
He roared, he thought that was the funniest thing he'd ever heard, I told him a guy named Cuda with a bag full of kick ass smack was on this site. I emailed them the link and told them to watch for him, but not to enter the minefield of verbal war with this guy cause, 'he can bring it.'

You seem strangely bitter, Corn Fan.
Must be awfully bitter about something that even the 30-3 ass kicking you laid on the Buffs can't drive out of your mind- such as it is
You claim to be glad CU will be getting their asses handed to them by Texas this week, but somehow, I think you're secretly relieved that the Corn doesn't have to meet up with hook-em-horns.

Colorado's fans are by far and away the worst in our conference. I won't go to Boulder any more because of past experiences. Colorado fans reguraly throw things at the opposing players sidelines and fans.
Having said all this they still would appear classy when compared to an LSU fan.

LSU baseball fan must be different than football fan. Their fans come up here almost annually to support their team in the CWS. They are great partyers, cook the best food, tailgate like animals and share all they have with us. We always enjoy having them up.SunCoastSooner wrote:Colorado's fans are by far and away the worst in our conference. I won't go to Boulder any more because of past experiences. Oklahoma is hated by many, Nebraska and texass as well. Colorado fan is just recognized as classless by the rest of the Big 12.

I guess the lumps I went home with from Rock snowballs in 1987 and 1989 were figments of my imagination. I also suppose that Saturday didn't occur either then as well. No one witnessed, on national television, the class of Buff fan Last Saturday we all just imagined it.

Did anyone ever see the end of the 91 CU/NU game in Boulder? The game was tied 19-19 when NU had a chance to win with a field goal at the end. It had been snowing for a while and CU fan, being CU fan, chose this time to start pelting the field with snowballs, which were hitting NU players on the field. No flag and the kick was missed, resulting in the tie.

Well, the fact I'm an NU fan will probably lead Cuda to believe I wear the blinders, but yeah, just before the NU F.G. attempt a snowball landed about 2 feet to the left of the football after the placement. A great throw I might add. And there were others landing around all the players. And I would imagine some of them hit players as well.At Large wrote:Did anyone ever see the end of the 91 CU/NU game in Boulder? I just remember watching the placement hoping to avoid a bad snap or hold and seeing a snowball blast just a couple feet away.

This also did not happen;
Big 12 officials will review the trash-throwing episode at last week’s Colorado -Nebraska football game, but the commissioner said Monday that sanctions against schools for those kind of incidents are normally used only as rare, last resorts.
A Colorado fan argues as Folsom Field event staff removed fans after referees ordered fans to stop throwing things onto the field. (Eric Gregory)
Officials ordered two sections filled with students emptied in the fourth quarter of Colorado’s 30-3 loss to Nebraska on Friday after water bottles and other debris were thrown onto the field.
No one was injured, although the incident during the nationally televised game was clearly both an embarrassment to the school and a security risk to the players.
Big 12 commissioner Kevin Weiberg said the conference’s standard routine is to receive a “game-management” report from each home team after every game.
“We look at all the issues that surrounded the game,” Weiberg said. “Our policy is straightforward. Institutions submit to us policies of how they manage crowd-control issues. We expect them to follow up when they do have an issue.”
He said a reprimand or fine could come if the conference determines the school didn’t follow its own procedures.
But the reviews, Weiberg said, are “more a cooperative effort to seek improvement rather than to single out someone for bad performances.”
Lt. Tim McGraw of the CU campus police department said surveillance video taken of the student sections was being studied Monday to determine if anyone throwing objects could be identified.
McGraw said those who threw things and were identifiable could be charged with unlawful conduct, a misdemeanor punishable by a fine of up to $750. Those fans also could be banned from attending future games.
CU coach Gary Barnett said he went over to the sections in an attempt to calm down fans, but they couldn’t hear him.
“The students were just frustrated with the game and the way it was going,” Barnett said. “They expressed that. I don’t have much else to say. I bear the responsibility for the way our team played.”

Bitter Corn Fan2, try re-reading this thread again (go as slowly as you need to so you don't strain your lips) and find where anybody claimed trash wasn't thrown out of the stands last friday.
And so the rest of us don't have to wait till tomorrow morning, I'll just remind everyone that this incident isn't a matter of dispute.
Thanks and I'll listen to your answer over the air

If the situation were reversed, a 30-3 ass-raping of Nebraska would have Buff fan turning cartwheels & dancing around every burning trash dumpster on the Hill.
But Corn Fan just can't seem to let go of the past.

Colorado fan has to understand that 62-36 was ONE game.
Nebraska fan knows full well we got our collective asses handed to us that ONE time.
Shit happens.
If CU fan feels one should remain bitter for ONE loss, the end result would indicate CU fan slit his wrists last Friday about 5:30 CST. Or rather decided to hurl trash onto the field. To bad the former wasn't the popular choice.
I'm curious, any word on that NU score on the new Big 12 north championship rings? (Really erases any bitterness on my part.)

There's no rivalry, but you felt it necessary to point out that 26<27 (nice job on the math, btw; you had a 50-50 chance & guessed right. props) There's no rivalry, but you think CU Fan should slit his wrists. (I wouldn't wish such a thing on Corn Fan, btw. I don't even think Corn Fan should be playing with sharp objects period.) And there's no rivalry, but that Big 12 North championship ring really sticks in your craw. I'm not familiar with the story, but from what I gather, such a ring would only be slightly less laughable than those "University of Nebraska Former Student" license plate frames. Good thing 62-36 was Just One Game or there wouldn't be an unbent shower rod in the whole state of Nebraska.

I didn't say CU fan should slit his wrists, only according to your reasoning about NU fan being bitter for ONE game, it would equate to CU fans reaction being as such. (You'd be better served to read a post with somewhat an open mind.)

Look, I'll give NU props for a big win against the Buffs, but you guys need to give up the whole "it's not a rivalry" speil already. The only reason Husker fan should be this excited about a win is if it's against a) a national power or b) a rival. Considering Colorado is nowhere near the former, it must be the latter. OU/NU stopped being a true rivalry as soon at the Big XII was formed. It has about as much significance now as Texas/Arkansas. You guys ned to stop living in denial.
1. It's the last game of the season.
2. The fans hate each other.
3. The teams hate each other.
Sounds like a rivalry to me...

The fans of these two teams certainly don't feel that way no matter how many times Buff Fan says it.MiketheangrydrunkenCUfan wrote:OU/NU stopped being a true rivalry as soon at the Big XII was formed. It has about as much significance now as Texas/Arkansas. You guys ned to stop living in denial.
I was going to try and step back and look at the Northern division patsies ( :D ) argue it out but this was a shot across the bow. Living in denial is Buff fan if they think that Corn fan will ever recognize them as a rival and in essence an equal on the football plane. Oklahoma and Nebraska will always be rivals; even 40 years from now if Nebraska is playing in the Big Telleven or "Great Plains" conference and OU is in the SEC or "Southern" Conference our fans will always recognize Oklahoma/Nebraska as a rivalry through and through.
Colorado has tried for 15+ years now, even before the BIg XII was formed, to supplant Oklahoma in the hearts and minds of Huskers as their rival and have not and will not be succesfull in the effort.
