Fair points.

They did play a 'soft' schedule that year.

Without a doubt, 16-0 trumps 14-0.

Your 'didn't deserve' comment isn't accurate though, IMO.

They knocked off all who stepped on the field with them that year.

GREAT team.

At Jacksonville, with or without Leftwich. The Bolts had them on the ropes last year and they can beat them I believe. Certainly they'll show better than Pittsburgh, who peaked on Monday night Vs the Bolts, but it's been down hill ever since.

They might lose to J-ville.

The Seattle game is a bit of a 'wildcard' right now because it's hard to know for sure what will be at stake in that game.

But yeah, all being equal, I could see Seattle knocking 'em off.

Paul go back and check out Jacksonville's perfromance Vs the Colts the last few years. Del Rio has them fired up for the Colts, and you know teams need to run the ball and play good defense to beat the Colts.......

Seattle is soft.

Chicago is the best team in the NFC.

Hate to say it, but this is why I happen to think the Mules have a legit shot at taking Indy out if they meet in the playoffs......even if they play in Indy.

Wouldn't be easy, and especially if Indy were to get an early lead.

But.....Denver's got a real chance this year, I think.

Good running game and very solid defense.

The Dolphins didn't deserve it?

I personally hope the Colts don't go undefeated, so they can drop this nonsense, but due to what is being said about them they showed up and played the game they did tonight.

Seattle is the best choice for beating the Colts, but if they are true competitors (which they are) they will play that game to the fullest. The Seattle game isn't important as to how tough they are, but to how good they are to how much the Colts give a shit.

With that said, I still am worried about Peyton and his tantrums. They were worse this year during the tough games and if the defense doesn't show up like they did tonight, then his tantrums will ruin everything and bring everyone down.

Peyton has help from the D to win a championship, but at the same time if he can go over to Dungy and ask for one more play to get Vanderjegt closer to the posts, then he has the same power of griping and bringing the D down.

I want a undefeated year, but Indy needs some form of championship besides a Slick Leonard or Razor Shines championship. To top it all off, the team could be a small dynasty if Edgerrin realizes $16 million in 2 years is better than $20 in four years and signs again next season. We may lose White, but just look at Fletcher and realize there is potential for someone to step up.

You all are off......Dungy will rest the starters once home field is wrapped up. He could care less about teh record. That's just the person he is. Peytom will start and play one series then go to teh nench with Edge and Harrison.

The Phins perfect season will remain intact.

My first pick for a loss now that Leftwich is down is Seattle. Not that I think Seattle is the cream of the crop in the NFC, that game is IN Seattle on Christmas Eve. The potential for bad weather has me looking at that game.

Jacksonville will still be a tough game because their D is so familiar with the Colts offense. But Gerrard is not as smart with the ball as Leftwich is.

San Diego will also be tough. But two factors I look at there are that game being at home and Gates being out. I think that makes it easier for the Colts D to set up for LT. Drew Brees would have to have the game of his life to win here.

As for the Undefeated. I think that would be great. But I fall into the category that thinks that should be the icing on top of the cake that is winning the Super Bowl. I want the SB to happen above all else. If they happen not to lose on the way, then it will be nice not to have to hear from the '72 Dolphins ever again. But I also understand that, with the war of attrition that an NFL season is, Dungy would understand how lucky he has been to this point and do what's best for winning the Super Bowl.

Is there an update on Gates' foot that I haven't heard?

Does LT play defense?

O.k. my bad. I thought he was still out.

So, I guess LT does play defense. Well, at least we know he could for the Ravens.

Chigago sucks! The Panthers lost on a Field Goal returned for a TD, and Tampa lost on a missed field goal. Don't be surprised is the Packers knock off the "OVERRATED" Bears this Sunday! It's the Bears people!!!!!!!

The only team I think that can touch the Colts is the Chargers. Other than that you have seen teams like the Seahawks lay an egg time and time again. The Seahawks will have DJax back by then, but I can't think that is going to help them since he's been out so long.

If Peyton Manning played for the Bolts they could probably beat the Colts.
In fact if anybody but Brees played for the Bolts they could probably beat the Colts.
Brees makes them an average team at best.

Lee's see...

The 'OVERRATED' Bears are going to lose to the Pack.

Seattle can't beat the Colts, but the Dolts can.

Okay you, win.

Definitly the dumbest fucker in this forum.

The Seahawks may have a chance, or Denver in the playoffs.
Period.

Fucking IDIOT- this IS NOT college football. Strength of schedule doesn't mean SHIT in the NFL.

Never has, never will.

Until somebody else does it, the 72 Fins are STILL the best team. EVER.
A typical load of crap from a fat, worthless sack of stinking motherfucking shit. How have you not killed yourself already? I suppose ignorance really is bliss.

The 1972 Miami Faggots played exactly two teams with a winning record that year and both of them were 8-6. Not what anyone outside your doublewide would consider quality opposition.

Best team ever? LMMFAO!! :meds: Luckiest maybe.

If the Colts go undefeated it will actually mean something.
Actually, the Dolphins played and beat 5 teams with winning records. They also played and beat 2 7-7 teams 3 different times. Furthermore, the Dolphins led the NFL in both scoring offense and defense.

I'll give the Colts their props, but to dismiss a 17-0 season as "meaningless" is retarded even by your already abysmal standards.
