RB 619
What does RBush's 619 mean, is that his area code?
If so, does he really need to wear it on his cheeks each game? I feel like it is one of the "tear" tattoos signfying how many people he killed.
How about just putting Spring Valley, CA on each one instead. He seems much too intelligent for this.

Re: RB 619
For half the games this season, he had S-E. It stands for his high school being in Southeast San Diego.Sky wrote:How about just putting Spring Valley, CA on each one instead. He seems much too intelligent for this.

That is what I don't understand, he seems very mature and well-educated during the interviews have seen--a model CFB player. But why act like a gangsta with the 619?
The SE makes a little more sense, giving props to his high school is different than emulating 50 cent.

How do you know he's not emulating Ruben Studdard?
Edit: I do not watch American Idol, nor do I even know who Ruben Studdard is.

Please articulate for those at home how 619 is any better or worse than S-E.Sky wrote:That is what I don't understand, he seems very mature and well-educated during the interviews have seen--a model CFB player. But why act like a gangsta with the 619?

You must find your work to be incredibly boring, because your posts don't seem to elevate much higher.

Well there may not be a huge difference but I think showing your respect to your coach and team is a lot different than 619. I think a lot of players in the NFL and College think they are bigger and better than everyone else. By giving props to his HS team, I think he is recogonizing the guys who made him the player he is and who supported him along the way.

Thats the best you got? Can't comment anymore about the topic???
Still stewing over our last little romp, huh?
Listen, I like Reggie, I think he is an amazing athelete and, what seems, a great guy. I just think he is acting a little ghetto with the 619, period.

Dude's gangsta just 'cuz he's got the 619 area code on his eye-black patches? WTF is that about. Yeah, I see the direct correlation

That's gangsta through and through.Bush's college highlights have made him a national phenomenon, but his pre-college highlights are the grainy stuff of prep legend. Before every game, Bush reminds himself where his long broken-field run began. He has instructed the Trojans' equipment coordinator to scrawl San Diego's primary area code, 619, in silver ink on his eye-black patches. Bush's personal fashion statement has already become the latest trend in gridiron style.
"I asked him why he wanted to do it," said Tino Dominguez, U.S.C.'s equipment coordinator. "And he told me he wanted to keep the San Diego tradition alive."
Bush is not the only ball carrier from his hometown with highlight tapes still in circulation. If he can spring another move or two in the regular-season finale Saturday against U.C.L.A., Bush could become the fourth running back from San Diego to win the Heisman Trophy in the past 25 years. Considering that U.S.C. is known as Tailback U, San Diego may soon be regarded as Tailback Town.
"It means a lot to be from the same place as all those Heisman winners," Bush said. "That is something that really drives me. But I'm still curious to see if I can uphold the tradition."

From the same article regarding the other SD running backs:
Where you at Jimmy, you can't stop piggy backing on others and come up with your own material can you.
Off-topic poser.
Oh yeah, gotta love that "SD tradition." Keeping that up wouldn't be gansta at all would it jackass?Williams failed multiple drug tests for marijuana and was suspended for part of this season by the National Football League. Salaam admitted to reporters that he took marijuana for depression and said the drug contributed to the disintegration of his N.F.L. career. Another running back from San Diego, Tampa Bay's Michael Pittman, spent two weeks in jail last year after pleading guilty to one count of endangerment after he was charged with driving his Hummer into a Mercedes carrying his wife and his son.

If it were their drug uses and other criminal activities that RB emulated, then you'd have a point. Seeing as how it's their FB skills that he emulates, you pretty much have a point only worthy of gouging your own eye out with... or perhaps tickling your asshole with.Sky wrote:From the same article regarding the other SD running backs:

That was an idiotic take.

WTF do Salaam and Pittman's (and Ricky Williams for that matter) tribulations have to do with Reggie?
You ever smoke pot?
Reggie is from San Diego and wants to make the fact known.
EOS.
You got any dirt on Marcus Allen (Lincoln HS class of '77)?
Well?
BTW, Salaam played at a HS (La Jolla Country Day) that didn't even play 11 man football. Each class there has about 60 students and they play in an 8 man league.
10-1 so far this year...

Hi.
Someone leaked the word that one fo Jerry's kids was runnin around here?
Y'all seen a short lil fella who goes by the name "Clouds" or some shit like that??
I like how Skeee pointed out that smokin pot and engaging in domestic abuse is something only folks from the ghetto do. I s'pose I should put bars up on my window for that KFC I ate earlier tonight.
Fuckin short busser.

Only that he banged the ex-wife of another Heisman Trophy-winning TB out of USC, and said ex-wife later wound up murdered, albeit not at Marcus' hands.Mikey wrote:You got any dirt on Marcus Allen (Lincoln HS class of '77)?

That and the fact that he's the all-time master of the obvious.
Sorry, couldn't resist.
