Come now, Trojan fans, you can't blame Vito for the basis of which me makes his argument. The BCS Championship game is a mere fantasy for the Longhorn faithful. Bottom line, they have no clue what it's about. Sure, they've got some big game experience, although they could have used a stronger opponent in that joke of a Big 12 championship game. But they've never played with all the chips on the table and the entire nation watching. I think they're going to have a bit of "deer in the headlights" goin on at first.
I think for either side to say it's going to be a blowout is a bit misguided. I can understand SC fans refering back to last year's OU game, and I can see how UT fan would think blowout by looking at the scores the Longhorns posted. I think both teams are way too talented to have any confidence in calling a blowout. Texas will sputter out of the gate, and that will ultimately be the difference.
And Vito....Vince owns the Rose Bowl? Please. They played last year without a local team in the game. You will see what USC and The Rose Bowl is all about. If anyone ever owned that game/stadium, it's the cardinal and gold.

It wont work... I'm a Warriors fan.
Yup, SC just hasn't seen a team as good as Texas this year.
once again all...
Sincerely,
Iowa, Michigan and Oklahoma.
...and Texas has seen a team as good as SC? Bwahahahahahaha.
"For some reason the defense....." Um, have you noticed the number of players that keep falling off the starting roster all year? They're still deeper than hell and faster than what every team thinks until they are on the field with them.
SC doesn't get surprised people.
I think we'll see much like we saw Carolina do to Micahel Vick yesterday. Keep thinking your man can out wortk the speed of this defense. You'll wake soon.

Wow, where to begin.Jimmy Medalions wrote:Let's review some of Vito's idiotic takes thusfar:
- We shall see about the Heisman
- Mack has coached Texas for 8 years and has never had a bad season
- I still have not seen any proof that Pete Carroll is better than Mack
- Who are some of the good coaches Carroll has beaten?
- USC has not played in a big game since last years BCS title game
- Vince owns the Rose Bowl
- NFL scouts
All I can say is...
It's clear Vito doesn't know jack shit about his own team, and didn't even start looking at the statistics until I pointed him to the NCAA web site. Simply priceless.
Let's address his idiocy in order:
- Vince is not winning the Heisman. Next...
- Mack has coached 8 seasons with ZERO MNC's and ZERO conference championships. Pete Carroll has won 2 MNC's, and 4 conference championships in only five seasons. No comparison. Next...
- You are an absolute moron. See previous proof. Next...
- Jeff Tedford, Bill Snyder, Mike Bellotti, Tommy Tubberville  , Lloyd Carr  , Kirk Ferentz, Frank Beamer, Bob Stoops, Charlie Weis. Next...
- You're right. The Notre Dame game had no stakes involved at all. How many top-10 BCS teams were on your schedule? We have two to your one. You couldn't be more stupid. Next...
- Vince owns the Rose Bowl when his team won a year ago by one point?
- Drop a few more non-linked NFL scouts comments, wouldya? In case you had't noticed, it isn't important what the kids do in the NFL. It's important what they do in college. Of course, if Carroll had ZERO to show for his last eight years...I guess I'd care about future NFL sucess as much as you do. That or you can't back your shit up so you use an arbitrary and meaningless argument.
No one has won the Heisman yet so until Bush or Young is named the Heisman winner you can claim victory all day and it won't do anything til the award is announced.
Second Mack has won 80 game in 8 years how many coaches and programs have not done that over the last 8 years. Answer no one.
Third, If USC was in the Big 12 Carroll would not have had the success they've had. Case in point In 2k2 KSU beat USC. That same year Texas beat KSU. So don't act like winning the Pac 10 is impressive because no one outside the conference is impressed. And yes you still would have won the MNC over the last 2 years but there are 2 years before that has built up to these last 3 seasons and that build up might not have happened if you were in the Big 12.
My argument is not meaningless since you keep using the same argument, but since you use it to tell everyone that Bush and Leinart are the top two prospects I feel it works for Texas as well. If your pea-brain could stop for a second and think about it. NFL scouts are not perfect but they are payed to determine who is good at the next level and who isn't. Again they are not perfect but the same process they use, is used by College coaches to find top recruits.
Finally for my Rosebowl take. You are a dumbass if you don't think that Vince not only owned that Rosebowl game but he also put on the best show of anyone that bowl season. Vince by himself carried Texas to that win.

Also, no, Vince Young did not carry Texas to a win in the Rose Bowl (or any other game) by himself. He got the opportunity to help beat a two loss Michigan team through the hard work put in by his offensive line and the rest of his team.
If Vince could beat teams by himself then he could swap squads with Okie State or Kansas and still beat Texas.
Ain't gonna happen. He'd get pummelled like any other "dual threat" QB if he played Texas while playing for an inferior team himself.
Vince is the beneficiary of being the trigger man for a dominant Texas team, is all. Wake the fuck up already and try to pry your chaffed lips from Vince's worn out root. No one player in football wins games by themselves.

This has all the makings of a classic Championship game, especially since it's being played in a joint named after a flower. There's no doubt in my mind that Vince Young will succumb to the lateral speed of USC's defense and get dropped for losses repeatedly on plays where no one can get open downfield. When this happens, expect Young to try to kiss the person who makes the tackle. If he ends up under a pile of Trojans, expect Young to try to kiss several of them. It's also clear that Reggie Bush will be in the Texas secondary about a second after each handoff. He'll be looking to kiss a dude or two. Unfortunately for Reggie, the Horn DB's will avoid him and continue upfield in hopes of lipsmacking with Matt Leinart.
The Trojans will have a one or two touchdown cushion in the first quarter, but the sexual tension will be so high between the two clubs that the first time Leinart gets tackled an all-out kissfight will erupt that will swiftly escalate into a full-fledged anal fuckfest as Trojans plungerfuck Longhorns and Longhorns plungerfuck Trojans. When all the spandex settles, Texas will have landed more kisses, but USC will have pumped the greater amount of rump. Mack and Petey will meet at midfield for a hug and a kiss, and Mack will angle for a squeeze of the Carroll heinie since he knows Petey works out. They'll probably end up feeding each other chocolate-covered strawberries while soaking together in a big jacuzzi tub later that night.

Everyone I have read or heard talk about that game has said that Vince pretty much did Carry Texas to that win. Ced Benson was injured in the very first drive and became a non-factor in that game. Texas defense was getting lit up left and right by Braylon Edwards. The Texas special teams was getting lit up. And the Texas receivers were all freshmen and couldn't find their ass with both hands.
Yes Vince was pretty much a one man show.

Bush has won the trophy. The notion that Vince has a shot is like thinking the Horns are going to dominate the Rose Bowl...wishful thinking.
And in those 80 games, what does Mack have to show for it? I'll show you:Second Mack has won 80 game in 8 years how many coaches and programs have not done that over the last 8 years. Answer no one.
Mack: 8 years, no MNC's, one conference title
Carroll: 5 years, two MNC's, 4 conference titles
What an incredible argument. USC loses by a TD to a team on the road that Texas beat by a fucking field goal. What a powerful statement.Third, If USC was in the Big 12 Carroll would not have had the success they've had. Case in point In 2k2 KSU beat USC. That same year Texas beat KSU.
What did that KSU win get Texas??
as well NO national title and ONE conference title.
Christ you sound like an SEC fan. Just when I figured you couldn't be more pathetic, you prove me wrong. Rack, I guess. So don't act like winning the Pac 10 is impressive because no one outside the conference is impressed. We'll leave the light on for you.
Pea-brain? This from the guy who seyz Mack's had eight good years and eightIf your pea-brain could stop for a second and think about it.
's to go along with it?
Texasfan really needs to learn how to shut the fuck up and be grateful.
Wanna know what all that future NFL talent has gotten Texas?NFL scouts are not perfect but they are payed to determine who is good at the next level and who isn't. Again they are not perfect but the same process they use, is used by College coaches to find top recruits.
Props. Those future NFL players have had a real impact on the Longhorns.
Sorry idiot, but no single player ever carries his team. Never in Divison I does any single player get all of the credit. It's called a team sport for a reason, and team isn't spelled with Vince. Finally for my Rosebowl take. You are a dumbass if you don't think that Vince not only owned that Rosebowl game but he also put on the best show of anyone that bowl season. Vince by himself carried Texas to that win.
Furthermore, if the Rose Bowl belongs to any one program it's clearly USC, having won it 21 times - more than any other team ever. Texas has won it once, by a mere point, and Vince 'owns' it???
Here's what Vince owns, you imbecile:
You are already looking foolish. I recommend shutting the hell up immediately.

It seems that Texas is too cocky and sees how many points USC gives up on avg and thinks that they are gonna run wild. I cant wait for USC to go Midevil on their ass.

And the Trojan circle-jerk just keeps going and going and going.
This thread is classic, we got med=bitch going grammer teacher and Van slurping his wee wee to the tune of Raining men.
I'm officially buying stock in any company that produces shower rods, Come Jan 5 half of southern california is gong to be found hanging on them.

I was just pointing out to the Reggie Bush knob slobs that 8 years of 10 or more wins is called consistancy. The fact that Tressell is there at 9.8 tells me that Mack must be doing something right.
The fact that Mack can take a team to the Shoe and beat a team like OSU and a coach like Tressel tells me he must be doing something right.
The fact that the rubber boys think that Mack is such a bad coach is laughable.

In 5 years, you have 1 win against OU, and one win at OSU. Those are the elite coaches with elite talent that Mack has beaten. Michigan has elite talent, but not elite coaching.
So throw up all the other coaches you have beaten (Snyder, Slocum, Bellotti, etc.) becasue I'm sure you can spin this any way you want.
