Award Discussion
So Paul P won the Bednarik and Hawk wins the Lombardi...if Hawk takes home the Butkus I would say that solidifies the Big 10 has having probably the best LB's in the country???
I mean you lead off with:
Hawk
Paul P
Carpenter
Dan Connor
Hodge
that other fucking Iowa dude
Prescott Burgess
etc, etc...discuss???
to me Hawk and PP were playing the best football defensively all year but most importantly the end of the year...
other awards...Vince and Reggie took home some hardware...as long as Archie's streak stays in tact I could give a fuck about who wins the Heisman...
The only thing I want to know is how many Iowa guys will they invite to NY next year?
Board pinata post in 5...4...3...2...
thoughts on this award season? early faves for next season?

I never understand how one guy can win best linebacker and another linebacker can win best defensive player. Either guy deserved winning both awards...good for them to each get some recognition, both will be great pros.
Early picks for next year's Heisman (barring guys don't leave early)
1. Reggie Bush
2. Brady Quinn
3. Vince Young
4. Troy Smith
5. Adrian Peterson

I don't get this quote:
What was JoPa getting at? I don't think he has a malicious bone in his body so I was assuming there was some story behind this. The zinger of the night came from Penn State's Joe Paterno, the Home Depot coach of the year. After he gabbed on the air with Herbstreit, a former Buckeye and Centerville High School quarterback, Paterno cracked, "It sure is great to be interviewed by a guy from Ohio State who can speak English."
