the skinny about Netflix?

Post by King Crimson »

i'm thinking about getting it for my mom....but i'd like to float some opinions about those who have it and such......how much is it really?

how big is the catalog? i've heard "they have everything" to "they don't have that much".

any help appreciated.

they don't have that heavy metal parking lot documentary.
they do have some tight flicks, as well as documentaries.

I suggest you go to their website and type in some movies you don't know that they'd have. Fact remains, if Netflix don't got it, neighborhood Blockbuster and Hollywood don't got it. My current netflix queue is a ton of movies that I truly doubt Blockbuster has. Blockbuster doesn't ocus so much on Hal Hartley as it does Harry Potter.

Only drawbacks I see are the dry season when no new good movies are coming out, and if there's a popular movie you're dying to see it might take two weeks. As a netflix subscriber for a year, I've actually gotten over seeing the next big movie immediately.
why is my neighborhood on fire

i whiffed on the chance to see that heavy metal parking lot doc at our local international film series a few years back. i saw the preview a couple times....but somehow missed it. i'm still kind of mad about it.

I like it alot so far. The movies get sent right away ,and its nice to not have a deadline on returning them.

big thumbs up. I have the 4-at-once thing, 21.99/mo. The discs fly in and out of this place.
