That is all.
Man I just don't know what to say. I would go off but I don't want to say anything I will regret tomarrow morning; especially if it is Jack talking and not myself.

I am just really dismayed right now. I would like one team in the athletic deptment to perform up to their abilities this year. At this point I just haven't seen any of them do it.

Bob, Kelvin, and Sherri are all good coaches and they all have great talent but none of them have been able to get this talent to perform this year. Is God punishing us for being so damn spoiled the last couple of years?

This is a basketball board so I will try and keep this on track...

I know Kelvin's cornerstone has been vast improvements in late January through Febuary each season but so has his defenses and so far I just have not seen much defense out of this squad.

Austin Johnson does not need to be getting and is not deserving of the minutes, especially injured, that he is receiving. I don't see how anyone can argue other wise. I hyped AJ and even said he would likely be our starting PG by late January. I can admit when I am wrong and I think I was wrong. :( It's not often you can pull those words out of my mouth/fingers so bookmark this page if you must.

We are in dire need for an effective true point guard and a real to life shooter who can hit a shot consitantly. With a real PG Taj would likely have had 45+ points tonight. He got about 20 points in trash baskets this evenning and was on fire on the boards. The offense seems to just stand still without the ball and the defense just has not been effective.

Taylor Griffen is frigging stud but short of playing three forwards all power fowards at the college level I don't see how we can get him any more minutes as Bookout and Taj about the only effective compenents of the offense to date.

This is not the same Terrel this season that we saw last season. What happened to his penetration skills? We saw flashes of it in the second half but nothing like he was able to perform last season. He is not a frigging point guard. Unfortunatly no one else on this team seems to be either. We backed off Jamal Brown and he lit up the nets tonight as a poke. We laid off Tayborn because of his baggage and he has been the only bright spot on a dismall Kansas State squad. And for what? In favor of a kid (Walker) who coulodn't find his ass with a flashlight and a map. I would rather see little Sampson on the floor than he. Hell I would like to see Kellen get sopme minutes period. I don't think Kelvin will ever have the stones to do it for fear of the word nepotism though. He can't be any worse at the point than Walker. I think that I or ou_skull could run the point as effective as he has to date.

What happened to the great guards that Kelvin said he has to continue to bring in to be successful?

I guess I did go off.

Believe the Heupel wrote:We didn't back off of Brown. We said we did to make ourselves feel better, but Brown was going to go to OSU as soon as they offered. Simple truth. He just wanted to go there more than he did OU.
Is that all we have to say? That was more of an anecdote in the post. I don't know the story; I don't pay attention to Bball recruiting as I do football recruiting. Never thought I would need to with Kelvin at the helm. Football recruiting is important no matter who the coach is. This is just what I was told about the process with Brown. We definatly did back off Tayborn though.

Sorry BtH not trying to call you out I'm just really pissed/dismayed after tonights performance; nothing personal aimed at you.

Dude, I was at the game... It was even worse than the score indicated...

Although there were a couple of questionable calls down the stretch (about half the lower level of the arena left when Bookout got called for offensive interference) it would have taken the Tech refs helping us for us to win this game. I felt like UCLA playing Princeton. #5 was far and away their best player... he was killing us the whole game on backdoor cuts. West Virginia made a run last year for a reason... They're big, they pass well, and they shoot very, very well.

Also, considering that OU pretty much shits itself anytime a team plays zone on us, and that WV has a good zone with a legit almost-seven-footer right in the middle, and it's a formula for a severe mouth butt-fucking. I just hope that we don't practive against anything but zone defense for the rest of the year or we're fucked come tournament time.

Skull I have seen every game this season so far on the Zone or ESPN Full court and even regular television. I am becoming worried about this team.

Honestly, for having as many seniors as we do, we're a young team... Any team with young guards (and we got lucky last year running Terrell at the point for as long as we did) is going to look like, and even BE, a young team...

i was at the WVU game. it was by far the worst D performance i've ever seen from a Sampson team.....with the possible exception of the game at Tech in 2001 and Tech in Norman last year--where Knight just made us look silly. or possibly the loss to Murray State in Norman with Heskett, Eduardo and that bunch. WVU was 22-24 from the floor inside the arc. and they hit some killer backbreaking 3's when OU sort of made like we might get back in it. outside of one sequence, we couldn't get a stop on D to save our life. after being up 11-2, WVU calls TO and outscores OU by 17 the rest of the way. the number is even worse for the final 11 minutes after OU (Taj) cuts it to 5. Gray had 2 points in the final 11 minutes.

the Pokes looked pretty tough, but then turn around and get blown out by UAB.

Skull is right. anyone who doesn't zone us is crazy. our guard play on both ends is pretty bad right now.

Why? Lavender couldn't have played for OU regardless because he was going to be academically inelgible dumbass. What you hear all the way in Lawton is the sound laughter at you not with you.

You realize Lavender isn't in Norman anymore, right? It's not like he just stopped playing ball. He's just not playing ball HERE anymore...

In other words, you're an idiot.
