Well hell, if he blesses our team I am sure we will win. God may be on ND's side but we have the pope....lets get it on.

That's been on the internet for awhile. Very funny, although the fact that a Fredo fan came up with it seems a tad bit ironic.

From the game of the century: 1935 ND vs OSU

ND had scored with 32 seconds left in the game. OSU got sacked on the last play of the game and...
OSU fans stood in shocked silence as the Notre Dame throng stormed the Ohio Stadium turf, uprooted the goal posts and left with them. The goal posts ended up downtown at the Deshler Wallick Hotel at Broad and High as ND fans partied deep into the night.
Holy shit, you tore down our goal posts and took them downtown? What the hell?

Especially the "Be Accepted at a Good School"/"Be Accepted at Notre Dame" dichotomy. I think it was Chris Thomas who pointed out the rather obvious fact that everyone at BC had applied to ND, but nobody at ND had applied to BC. Rack him for that!

I'm getting ready to leave for the pre-game festivities right now. Since Notre Dame isn't playing Nebraska, there's pretty much no way I can cheer for them. I was going to just wear a CU jersey to the game, but then I remembered this shirt:

So I will officially be showing my support for the Buckeyes (or, more specifically, my dislike of ND). As far as a prediction goes, I think I'm gonna have to go with...

Good luck buckeyes. I've been posting from my girlfriends sidekick, so it's been a bit tough.

I like ND's chances because what they do well matches up with what OSU does not do well. I'll post my full thoughts tomorrow.

I think the fans will be about 50-50, because that study doesn't take into account the fans in other states buying tickets.

Right now the online poll by Columbus, Ohio TV-station NBC4 reads the following:

Who will win the Fiesta Bowl?

Of 5574 Votes
Notre Dame 3117 56%
Ohio State 2457 44%

Those numbers will shift in about three hours.

Agree with all of the above. Both ND and tOSU have broad fanbases, but ND's is broader, on a national basis.

Btw, also in for a sig bet.

Is there a worse announcer than Mussberger?
"Charlie Weiss gets the ball at the 15"
"Charlie Weiss is gonna go for it, this is pure Parcells"
"let's see what Charie Weiss does now"

Hes gonna sit his frumpy fat ass on the sideline and call the next play, and then the 11 Notre Dame players are going to try to execute the play.

Would it be at all possible with these high definition cable and satelite feeds to have a secondary audio option that would just have the crowd and field noise with the ref and public announcer? I would much rather have that than Mussburger

Better get your act together ND, can't stop our offense and you only succeeded on your first drive. But hell, SDState scored on their first drive too.

21-7 Buckeyes at the half. ND is lucky, it could be much worse.

Rack Ginn
Rack Smith
Rack Holmes

OSU's athletes are getting it done.

Final score prediction....

OSU- 38
ND-17

Oh come on, 17pts.

But, after all this talk about Weiss changing his game plan during the game, I wonder if maybe he should "stop" changing his game plan. Cause whatever he is doing isn't working.

ND, you are lucky it isn't 28 or 31-7.

Here's to a continuation of this ass-whupping in the second half. Weiss will never be the coach Tressel is.

I don't like this at all. Only 21-7 at the half in a game that should at least be 31-7. Two key possessions in the red zone.... and OSU came away with ZERO points (an ill-advised pitch/fumble and a missed FG). You can't let this Notre Dame offense stick around.

Fucking Ryan Hamby is trying to pull the hat-trick and single-handedly cost the Bucks a loss for the 3rd time this season.

This kind of reminds me of the Kansas State game back in '03-'04; the difference is that this Notre Dame team is much better. It "seems" way too easy in the 1st half..... but the reality is that the game is not out of reach by any stretch of the imagination. OSU dominated Kansas State in every facet of the game.... only to quit playing with about 20 minutes left to go..... and I believe KSU ended up coming all the way back and even had a chance at a hail mary for the tie.

I can already see it in the body language on the OSU sideline -- they think this game is over. Tressel needs to rattle some fucking cages at the half. Before the blocked field goal, the Ohio State sideline could've been mistaken for one of the retirement communities outside of Scottsdale. This isn't a fucking vacation, fellas. One of those slants get picked.... and this is a fucking one possession game.

Don't get me wrong... I realize OSU is dominating on both sides of the ball so far.... but that doesn't matter. The only thing that matters is that ND is one play away from being right back in this mother fucker.

this game is reminding me a bit of the OSU-Texas game. where OSU has every chance in the world to put them away but can't/won't.

Props to Tressel and his kids. Is Smith out of eligibility yet? I hope so. :P

Here's hoping for a PSU victory tommorrow. At least the top of the conference has looked good.

Hey Domers, congrads on your RECORD-SETTING 8th bowl loss in a row

Cheer, Cheer for Old Notre Dame

Cheer, cheer for old Notre Dame,
You take the Notre, I'll take the dame!
Send a freshman out for gin,
Don't let a sober soph'more in.
We never stagger, we never fall,
We sober up on wood alcohol!
While her sober sons go marching
On to the next saloon.

Typical catholic song, gonna need to nurse those wounds tonight.
