FTFY, yup, 2-5, thanks a lot Glenn Mason, Lloyd Carr and the non-existant NW defense.

Actually, it says more about your conference when they are 4-1 on Dec 30th. What fucking games are they playing in???? Not marquee ones that's for sure.

Bitter fucks after a shit season.....

The Michigan win was great except its the worst Michigan team in what 20-30 years? Uhhh.....sure great win.

Oregon? Fucking swiss-10 team with an overinflated ranking. Still, nice win.

Houston? STFU.

South Carolina.....how Pinkel pulled this one off is beyond me. SOS never had a very good bowl record.

Hey 4-1 is 4-1 but stop beating your chest like you are beating top ten teams(one and it was a swiss-10 school).

Big 12 is looking good.

Nebraska- One of the biggest underdogs of all the bowls...W

OU-Beats the team that whined about being screwed out of the BCS...W

Mizz- Beats Spurrier when "it's impossible to beat him with 5 weeks to prep" Blah, blah, blah...W

I can't really respond to beating Houston, except to say that when the conference gets a bowl win out of Kansas, it's a sweet bonus...W

The Big 12 is definately a lot better than people gave it credit for all year. In fact, it seems to me that every year this happens with some conference. Whichever (major)conference people spend all season bashing as having a down year always tends to end up performing the best in the bowls, forcing the Talking Heads and media morons to reach for excuses to the drivel they spit out all year.

You can argue about "weaker" opponents they might have played in the bowls. You can argue about the month off or whatever, but the fact is that it seems to happen every year with somebody.

It's just another reason why the whole system is messed up. No conference really plays anyone outside of their conference.Yes, there are some big Non-Conference games scattered throughout the year. Although having 90% of those games in the first 3 weeks of the season kind of makes them almost meaningless (i.e. - whoever is playing best in week 3 is not always playing best in week 10).

There is no accurate way to realistically judge what conferences are better, when they only play themselves.

College Football is like having a 100 meter race with multiple heats. Having those heats race and then not timing them. Just looking at them and making conclusions like, 'Heat 2 is faster than heat 4', without getting an acutal time.

From the Peach Bowl website:

Dec. 31, 2004
Miami 27
Florida 10

I guess that didn't matter since it wasn't on New Years day and the gaytors lost.

SEC at 3-2 w/ UGA left. Auburn was a real surprise. Wisconsin just not that good. They pulled a Miami and just didn't bother to show up.

The better team won. Can't handle the fact that your prediction for this game was complete shit?

There's absolutely no doubt, upper midwest, cold weather teams, end up traveling hundreds, if not over a thousand miles, to play teams which usually are ranked higher, and playing on, or close to their homes! It makes a difference. No argument.

I give NU some credit though. OU less. Because OR was in hangover mode for not getting ND in the Fiesta. ND v. OU woulda been a real close one, imo.
OR probably gives OSU a little more for their money. ND was NEVER even really in that game.

The Big-10 "varsity" can come in 3-0, in top bowls come Tue. night. UM, Minn., and NW sucked ass all year. They get a mulligan.

How does MSU handle the layoff between the end of the season and the Bowl Games, exams etc.... oh wait, my bad.

Dude. You're such a "scholar", how can you say ONE game tells the entire story on how good a conference is? It's fun for buttholes in here. But, in big matchups, the B10 holds its own rather nicely.

PSU should destroy FSU, and what you then will concluse, is that the top teams from the B10 threw their weight around quite nicely!

It's just our 2nd and 3rd tier teams sucked ass. NW - Minn. and UM tying for 3rd tier shit teams. I would rate Iowa about the 4th best B10 team, and they really screwed themselves vs. Fla. A damn blocked punt for a TD. A crazy ass int for a TD. And a fucking JOB by a ref on an onsides with 1:40 to go! It's possible that all top 4 B10 teams could have won.

So, before you B-12 pricks get all squishy in your panties, just recognize, bitches.

How do the dopie UM fans even pay ANY attention to anything sports related all year!? You were 3-3, and HANGING Flloyd Carr from his nads!
Finishing 4-2 afer that! - Wow!

this is totally incoherent. under what circumstances would OU play ND? just to start.....Big XII bowl commitments: Cotton vs. SEC, Holiday vs. Pac-10, Alamo vs. Big 10.......etc.

you might try beginning with *objectively* confirmable facts....rather than inane assertions based on some world you apparently want to believe in.

I guess that means they don't represent the B 10, eh? So that means that a 10th tier team like MSU shouldn't count against the conference ever....

Naw...I'd evaluate the quality of opponents played. Not the result of the tidy bowl with 4th place conference participants.

i'm not real hung up on this stuff, but the Chumps Bowl was going to be a tough draw for the BXII...and Clemson did play a lame duck team in Colorado (losers of their last 4, "resigned" head coach, Big XII North champs). but, as is right, scoreboard=scoreboard.

regardless, it was one of the most boring games i've ever seen.
