I hate to say it Wags, but the Pats remind me of the 1993 Bills team. You remember the one who barely scraped their way into the playoffs yet somehow came back from the dead to make the Super Bowl?War Wagon wrote:Yeah, but you have to go on the road and face a real NFL playoff team next week, not the fraudulent Faguars.Cueball wrote: Or Brady
So trust me when I inform you, Brady is done.
They also will get a break when the Steelers take out the Bungles tommorow. That means they will have Indy in the AFC Championship (assuming the Steelers don't pull off the upset of the century), not in a divisional game. Home teams don't do nearly as well in conference championship games.
Simply put, I won't be at all shocked if the Pats are in Detroit in February.

I'm counting on that to happen. Would you believe that I'm the only SOB to pick...BSmack wrote: ...when the Steelers take out the Bungles tommorow.

...in the office pool? Me neither, but it happened. Here I was sweating total points, but that doesn't even matter.
As for the Pats going to Dungver and winning, that isn't happening.
They'd have a better chance at Indy.

Of course you missed out on Brady's 3 TDs by picking the Pats defense.ChargerMike wrote:...yeah, Cooley was M.I.A. today...but it was a stroke of genius when I tabbed the Patriot "D"...bwaa..6 sacks, 1 pick for a score, 3 points allowed...yeah, that's the ticket.
Your Rudi Johnson pick will bring you back to earth anyway.

...yeah you're right about Brady, he did score 1 more point than the Pats "D". Guess I'll have to take my chances with Manning topping the 21 point mark.
Of course Johnson was a chance pick at RB going against the Stillers tough run "D". I think C. Johnson will keep the corners honest and open up a little more room fot Rudi, much the same as Hines does for the Stillers.Cincinnati is 7-0 this season when Rudi Johnson runs for 90 or more.
In a 27-13 win at Cincinnati in Week 7, Parker had 131 of the Steelers' 221 rushing yards. Pittsburgh was held to 95 yards on the ground -- 71 by Parker -- in last month's loss to the Bengals.
So, it probably boils down to who can stop who. Who will go off...Parker or Johnson?

C Mike's pick of Pats D was huge - scores are updated for the first 2 games:
Godzilla2K looking strong with a 47 and no players lost through 3 games.
Toos leading with a 52 but 2 players headed for the tee box
