Who will Abramoff take down when he goes?

Who will Abramoff take down when he goes?
Congressmen from both parties are pissing their pants at the prospect of Jack Abramoff turning state's evidence. I say the most likely to go are:
Bob Ney, R-OH, rumored to be the one Congressman actually named in Abramoff's indictment
Dennis Hastert, frantically donating the $69,000 that Abramoff gave him to charity.
Tom DeLay, already heading for the slammer but this will help.
Conrad Burns, Repulican Senator from Montana saw the writing on the wall and announced in December that he'll return $150,000. Sorry, it won't help.
Hopefully Jack's good buddies Grover Norquist and Ralph Reed will get buttfucked in the mouth too. This could be fun.
Even Bush is returing Abramoff money now.
Funny how these crooks are wonderful friends until they get caught.

Having seen the like of this crew, I hope they get ass reamed in the next election, not because the alternative will be better, but because they're so friggen dishonest. Every last one of them caught with their hands in the cookie jar and they'll all be claiming they were duped, no doubt.

But you guys forget that Clinton was so smart that he used his Jedi mind powers to kill everybody who could testify against him. That means he is worse than all the Republicans ever. Like all of them combined.

Bob Ney will be "spending more time with his family" come January of 2007. He's cooked.
And DeLay isn't going down, but he's done as Majority Leader.
Other than that, nothing.

Kind of like the Dems come november.

Ney temporarily gives up committee chair
Mon Jan 16, 1:37 AM ET
Rep. Robert Ney, under investigation in a lobbying scandal that has roiled the Republican Party, on Sunday temporarily stepped down as chairman of the House of Representatives panel that would oversee lobbying reform.
Ney, an Ohio Republican, denied any wrongdoing but said it was clear the allegations against him had become a distraction to fellow House Republicans as well as the work ahead for his House Administration Committee.
Ney is under investigation as part of a federal investigation into lobbyist Jack Abramoff's dealings with lawmakers. Abramoff this month pleaded guilty to fraud charges and has agreed to cooperate in a corruption probe that could involve several members of Congress.
"I want to assure my colleagues and my constituents that I have done absolutely nothing wrong and I am convinced that I will be vindicated completely at the end of this difficult process," Ney said in a statement.
"Once these false allegations have been put to rest, and I have full confidence that they will be, I look forward to resuming the chair," Ney said.
Ney's decision to temporarily step down came days after a spokesman for House Speaker Dennis Hastert said there had been discussions between the speaker and Ney about the Ohio congressman's role as chairman of the House Administration Committee.
Rep. Tom DeLay of Texas, who is facing felony charges related to a campaign finance case, was forced to step aside as House majority leader in September after his indictment on conspiracy and money laundering charges. DeLay, who is a friend of lobbyist Abramoff, said this month that he would not seek to regain the post.
House and Senate Republican leaders have been rushing to develop lobbying reforms as their members worry about fallout from the Abramoff scandal.
Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist of Tennessee, under investigation for stock trades, is weighing a ban on corporate sponsorship of lawmakers' travel, banning gifts and prohibiting senators' spouses from lobbying. That and other new controls have been crafted by Republican Sen. John McCain (news, bio, voting record) of Arizona.
Members of Congress receive campaign contributions that critics say unduly influence legislation. Many lawmakers also accept gifts, meals and travel from corporate sponsors.
"Once these false allegations have been put to rest, and I have full confidence that they will be, I look forward to resuming the chair,"
Right....

Good luck making that into a 'national scandal'.
Or even winning his seat.
If at the end of this all you end up with is picking off Ney, this is going to be as funny as all of the high fives over Scooter Libby being indicted over lying (allegedly) about nothing.
And if Dorgan and Reid get dragged down too, props.
