If the Eagles rebound, the NFC East is going to be fucking sick again. But the skins having the number 1 offense and missing the playoffs is an acceptable result.

I'm frankly pleased that he's out of the 'running' for Oakland head spot.

Looks liek they brought him in and told him- be O/C and then you'll be head coach when Old Man Gibbs retires.

Won't that cause probelms with Williams? I thought they kept him there under the understanding he would get the HC job when Gibbs retired...

Or will Danny-Boy just take the chance at a SB and then pay Al the $1 million to go away?

Fuck.

With the head coaching vacancies filling up and Saunders still available, I was hoping we'd get him back. Still for 2 mil a year to be an OC...not bad work when you can get it. Props to Al on the $core. The Dan is spending like a maniac on assistant coaches. I'd say he wants to win pretty damn bad.

Looks to me like Al's last shot at getting another head coaching gig has came and went. I don't really understand why, but it would seem to me that he must be damaged goods in some way. No way a guy with that kind of resume gets passed over for so many jobs, for rookie head coaches instead, unless there are some seriously scary skeletons in his closet.

Good luck, Al.
I hate sigs. But I lost a stupid fucking bet because a KC Paul lookalike and his sorry ass team were inferior to the greatness that is the Pittsburg Steelers.

Try again, B...

Not so much here.

Mike Solari is a solid hire for OC. Besides, with Grand-Ma-Ma and T-Rich in your backfield, how tough could play calling be?!

"So much for coaching in Oakland," is right.

What a fucking disaster.

The only dude worthy, that really acted like he wanted the gig was Al Saunders. Yet Alice, for whatever reason, wants to drag ass, interview anyone and everyone that has never been heard of, and lets Saunders slip away. If that can really be called slipping away.

I have no idea why, but something is up with Saunders. 10 head coaching positions open up, and he gets NONE! Verrrah strange.

Back to raiduh bashing .....

Looks like Alice may hire the coach from Louisville. Nice. I guess Dukes coach, and the guy at St. Johns turned him down already. Does Gonzaga or UNLV have a football program? Maybe Alice will interview them if they do. Hey ......... while shitty at hoops ....... Nebraska may have a football coach worthy of leading the duhs!

Al Saunders:

Highly regarded offensive coordinator.

17-22 'failure' in his only previous head coaching gig.

A 'wonderful' man.

Sounds eerily similar to the guy Mr Davis just sent out the door.

It doesn't bother you that Al Saunders would rather be Joe Gibbs' assistant coach than Al Davis'?
