Honest UMfan perspectives, please:

Post by Buried_Nick »

Should Martin just shitcan Radio after this season, or wait one more?

I say after he misses the NIT, that should do it, for Amaker.
If they were to get another REAL coach in there, at least he will have a few decent players in '05-'06. If the A.D. waits too long, just to see where this team is headed next year, and has to can him then, then the new guy has a depleted roster. Brown and Abrams, and Horton will all be gone after the '06 season.

If you make the inevitable change NOW, the new guy gets off to a good start. He'll have a few guys to at least make the Dance, probably. If Tommy stays, the way the guy fucks up good talent, UofM might not make the dance NEXT year either! UM fan deserves better.

How long!? --- Not long...

Fire him, keep him...I don't care. As long as State doesn't win a national title again, that's all I care about.

Why not? I rooted for CWebbs and shit, when they went twice! Only Webbs called that T.O. when he had Jalen wide open near the top of the key.

That's total bull. A team from the B10, and in YOUR home state has a chance to make a run, and you act like a 10 year old? I would ALWAYS root for a good UM team to win it all, no matter what they were playing in.

Woa. :?

So are you rooting for Illinois tonight? They have a better chance to win it all.

It's called a rivalry. Ask a BuckeyeFan...do you think they rooted for Michigan in the Rose Bowl this year? I don't root for the Avalanche when they're in the Cup Finals. I don't root for the Packers when they're in the Super Bowl. I don't root for the White Sox or the Indians when they make the baseball playoffs. I know you switched sides but this is one of those rivalries where you're either one or the other...no riding the fence. I'm Michigan all the way and I root against State when they play. The only time I pull for a Spartan is if he's playing for one of my pro teams...ie--Charles Rogers or Jason Woolley.

The only other schools in Michigan that I'd root for is Western since I'm from Kzoo and my dad went there and GVSU since I went there for a couple years.

Conference loyalty has its limits. I root for all conference teams come tourney time, except for Purdue and scUM.
"Our staff is going to ensure that anyone who attends this University and wears the Indiana uniform will make this privilege among their highest priorities and not treat the opportunity as an entitlement,'' Crean said in a statement. "We fully expect our student-athletes to accept the responsibilities academically, athletically and socially that come with representing one of the top programs in college basketball history."

I'm against rooting for conference foes in games but I'll defend the conference as a group in an argument. However, the Big Ten hasn't been much to argue for lately.

I don't like your view on Michigan but I can respect it...you never ride the fence when it comes to the Wolverines.

I know you're a WMU guy but who is the major school that you pull for? (Not to say that Western isn't a major school...everyone in Michigan atleast takes sides in Michigan-Michigan State)

A half rack is in order here. I honestly can tell you, when it comes to Rose Bowls, or if Amaker was fired and a GOOD coach had them in the dance, I root for UM and the B10 in general. During regular seasons, I hope scUM loses them all.

(Which Radio just might, these last few weeks.)

I'm sorry is that a chick Western Michigan player on your avatar?

That's...not a good thing. Thats actually kinda pathetic. When you grow a pair of balls and actually have something interesting to say about either Michigan or Ingham Community College come back. Until then go watch your "good fundamentals" of chick ball. Meanwhile I'll be waiting for for girl's basketball to become a real sport.

But I really think this is just a ploy for Babs to have a friend. Babs talking to babs, its like looking into a mirror that's looking into a mirror, but a lot less interesting.
