I like what the Mets have done but as long as #5 still resides in the STL, the Cardinals are the favorites. I still would put the Astros ahead of the Cubs...their odds are way too high. Oswalt is my early pick for the Cy Young this coming season and if they can re-sign Clemens, they could win the division away from the Cardinals. Pierre and Jones will improve the Cubs' lineup but they're rotation is always a Prior and Wood injury away from making it very ordinary. The West is a joke but I expect a bounce-back year for the Giants.

This may finally be the year the Braves don't win the NL East,
but I won't pick against Cox and Schuerholz until it happens.

The Cards pitching will be great for the regular season but not dominant enough for the post-season.
Wood and Prior are ALWAYS injured. Forget them. Don't expect big things nor rely on their arms. Worry about Ramirez and Lee. Those guys are pure evil.If the Cubs stay healthy then they will be legit contenders in the division but that seems to be a big IF.
Both of them have been dominant at times but aren't consistent. I don't fear them in the playoffs.Prior is healthy but Wood won't return until after the season begins....
Wade Miller is a #5 on the DRays.Wade Miller

Seeing as the Cubs haven't won since 1908,atomicdad wrote:Jesus,If the Cubs stay healthy then they will be legit contenders in the division
Mace, is that on a 78' or a Victrola?
I think it's on one of those Thomas Edison wax cylinders!
