Bullet For My Valentine

Post by MiketheangrydrunkenCUfan »

They've been playing these guys a lot on Sirius' metal station and it started growing on me. Picked up the CD today and after one spin, I gotta say, it ain't bad. It's nice to hear some kids who actually have respect for old-school metal. They play Flying Vs and actually have guitar solos. Hell, 3 of them even have long hair.

Anybody else like (or even heard of) these guys?

I walked past them in the street a few months back, when they were playing Rock City. They all had orange hands, as if their mothers had dropped them in the middle of town with a family-sized pack of Chee-Tos to sustain them.

Usual metal wank. Yawn.

Honestly, the more I've listened to it, I have to agree.

The screaming parts are decent, but the melodic vocals are just a little too "O.C.-ish" or something.

Edit: I was kinda hoping nobody would bump this, BTW.

The lead singer had his combat trousers tucked into knee-high socks, which was no mean accomplishment.

OCishness is rife throughout music today, isn't it? It needs to be stopped.
