Consider this my introduction
I have a few thoughts since deciding to jump into the fray here and quit lurking. Here they are:
1) There are several SC fans on here. I'm wondering how many of these guys were SC fans in the 90s. I'm guessing Jimmy Medalions was but I'm not so sure about the rest.
2) Why does Laxplayer hate SC so much? I'm pretty sure that he hates SC more than any other poster hates any other school.
3) m2 makes me hate Cal.
4) The ND guys on here seem pretty cool for a fanbase that has a reputation for arrogance.
5) Are there no Miami fans on here or do they just not have computer access at Dade County Jail?
6) FSU fans seriously outnumber Florida fans on here so I decided to jump into the fray.
7) TREX gets beat up on here way too much. He seems to have pretty solid takes but his threads seem to always end up with people piling on him.

Just the kind of welcome I'd expect after lurking here for a while. I'd be bitterly disappointed if I didn't catch some shit upon my entry. Sort of like a gang initiation where you get your ass kicked so you can be in the gang.
I've been looking through some old threads and I've got a couple of questions:
1) What is a glass dikk?
2) What is a Hungus?
3) Who is Babs?
4) Are there any Vols fans on here to beat up on? Miami, Va Tech, Alabama, Auburn, and LSU also seem to lack representation on here.

You left out Babs' numerous trolls, all of whom are quite bad, and the fact that she roots for OU to lose almost as much as for MSU to win... there just aren't any over-sized OU pics backing up the "takes."
If you're new, welcome. If you're not, and you're one of the usual suspects, at least this time, whoever you are, you're trying...

Congrats, Wags. Good win.

You can still be cloaked in white as a testament to your virginity on this board. Tabula rasa. Everything that can be ascribed to you are future posts. This newbie moment is short-lived. Trix is has earned his stripes through passion and punishment absorbtion. He is not part of the "lunatic fringe" that continue to impale themselves on their own myopic fables.
The only minor infraction that you are currently guilty of is your definition of a "solid take".......
That said, cast an aspersion toward the SEC and see what the filter catches....

Did Orlando reclaim itself from Disney World and I not hear about it? Was Mickey Deposed?Mr T wrote:Hogtown Sucks!

Orlando does suck. It should be renamed Walt's City.

Orlando most definitely does not suck. I've been in the Orlando area my whole life and I don't think there is anywhere in Florida I'd rather live. Lay off the Mouse, too. He is a pretty cool dude.
Oh, yeah, FSU sucks and so does Tally. There is a reason why Walt didn't build his kingdom in Tally.

Orlando sucks even as a visitor or tourist, let alone a resident. It should be a crime to live in the state of Florida and not live within a bike's ride to the beach. Living in Florida and not living near a beach makes as much sense as nailing a blowup doll when you've got a free hooker in your bedroom. Everything is created commercially for the sake of its tourism industry, and thus the city has no character or personal identity. Did I mention everywhere you go the traffic is unbearable? You could have a stop sign on a gravel road which leads to a dead end, and you're still going to wait 5 minutes before you can go. It's one giant Disney commercial, and you're living in and around it. The downtown doesn't have much to offer either, even though it's clean...even when KKK rallies are strolling through.Orlando Gator wrote:Orlando most definitely does not suck. MGoBlue-LightSpecial,
Ouch!! Not a big fan of Orlando, huh? Yes, Orlando is a city that relies a great deal on tourism. So are alot of places in Florida. Having Disney World here is a huge thing because of the jobs that were created. Disney World employs over 56,000 people. There are thousands more who have jobs because of Disney World. Some people may see that as commercial and such but most of us here wouldn't change a thing. You say we don't have a culture or personality but I say we have a culture of fun and enjoyment. There is so much to do around here besides the World. People smile and have fun when they come to Orlando. That is our culture. I know I sound like a commercial but I have to defend my turf. Also, I can take the Greeneway to the Beeline and be at Cocoa Beach in 45-50 minutes. Not exactly a long way. I'm virtually surrounded by water as it is. Anyone from Central Florida will tell you that there is water everywhere.
Mr. T,
I'm Orlando Gator because I've lived in the Orlando area all my life.
Nolesy,
Yes, there is Thee Dollhouse. :D A very good reason to call Orlando home.

I guess I was introducing myself to you guys with some observations from someone who had been lurking on here for a while. I expected to be raked over the coals a bit upon my entry and I would have been highly disappointed if I wasn't given a hard time since that is the standard around here. I guess I'm wondering why so many of you are having such a hard time believing that there is actually somebody new on here. I didn't come in here with both guns blazing or taking shots at people or teams. I'm not sure why so many of you doubt my identity but feel free I guess.
IndyFrisco,
I'll be glad to meet up with you when you come down here. Just let me know when you're expecting to be here and I'll set aside some time. PM me when you get some dates set.

Because we've had the same crew for the last few years, and very few new posters have made their way over here because we lost the one thing that united us in the first place: The Radio Show. Some of us have tried to drum up new posters by posting this link on other boards, but it has rarely stuck.Orlando Gator wrote:I guess I'm wondering why so many of you are having such a hard time believing that there is actually somebody new on here.
