Ark of the Covenant

Do you think it still exists? If so Israel? Eithiopia? Scottland? France?

Us Templars have it stashed.

And no, I'm not saying where.

That would be Rosslynn Chappel for $300 Alex. :P

But I doubt it seriously. Maybe they have some very important documents concerning religious things that were burried there circa 60-80AD as described in detail by the Dead Sea Scrolls but parchment is probably the most they ever found.

I guess the answer is nobody knows right now.

Except us Templars, and we still aren't talking.

First off I would think the Ark being Eithopia more likely than the Templars ever getting a hold of it. The Templars would have used it as a bargaining chip in October of 1307. Just sayin'. Then again the Templar Navy did escape the French forces and set sail Thursday evenning and their skull and cross bone flags haunted the seas for centuries to come.

As far as the link you provided. Mt Nebo is an interesting theory but I have never heard much about it to be honest, I'll have to explore that more. The Dead Sea is doubtful... very doubtful. The folks at Qumram were not very happy with the Hasmonean establishment in Jerusalem and it was they who hosted "The Lord's Supper" each year for much of the Sanhedrin (atleast people of their sect and select Sadducees from it) during the Passover and not Jerusalem. Besides the Bible had stopped mentioning the Ark for long damn time at this point in biblical history. I think it much more likely that it was gone long before this; at the very least when Babylonia conquered Judah but it was never listed amongst the good confiscated by the Babylonians which puts a damper on such theories as they kept meticulous records of such things.

If it were beneath Jerusalem then The Templars might have gotten a hold of it as it is now pretty common and accepted fact that Templars did excavate during Baldwin II reign. But I find it unlikely as it is not catalogued by the Dead Sea Scrolls as one of the items burried under the Temple. Graham Hancock presents a good case for the Ark being in Eithiopia and he did write this before he went nutter. His early works were pretty good. The Sign and the Seal and his first book on diluvian theories concerning the flood and civilization but since he has moved his proposed placing of Atlantis no less than four times now and has been so caught up in proving his theories right that he lost an objectional ability concerning the matter. Someone less biased needs to replace him as the foremost person on this matter, and hopefully someone more qualified rather than a journalist but there is such a stigma concerning Atlantis amongst the achaelogical proffession that I understand how someone would not want to risk their career by exploring the possibilities.

Your link didn't mention the possibilty of the Templars burrying it in Scottland or Canada :P.

I hope you are joking about being a Templar Knight Dio... I didn't think you were from Portugal (but if you are you write rather well from some who english is not your first language :D ) nor do you strike me as someone with the traditional belief structure that would cause someone to join a modern day Templar society in Europe or America. You think I am nutter go listen to them. Or hell better yet read Knight and Lomas who are nutters. I really enjoy their books because they are very entertaining but...
